16MAY2018 – Photo of the Day

We’re getting way too much rain and unseasonably cold weather here in the Twilight Zone that is New England.  So much so that my lens rental period isn’t being as fully utilized as I’d hoped so here’s a summery photo to influence the weather gods.

    Good shot!

Do you have a Sony A to E mount adaptor? If so you can put an older (and very inexpensive) 100mm f2.8 Minolta macro lens on your A7III. I shot with one of those for years, still have it. Haven’t used it with my A7III but the Minolta has gotten a lot of usage with my A6300.

Cold? Please don’t throw me in the briar patch, it has already turned suffocating hot here, as state of affairs that will last for close to 6 months.

      Tom:
I use both the LA-EA3 and LA-EA4 with the Minolta 200mm macro. But it’s a screw drive lens so the LA-EA3 becomes manual focus and I’m not crazy about using the translucent mirror in the LA-EA4. I’m trying out the Sigma 180mm in Canon mount with the MC-11 adapter. I haven’t had any butterflies to test it on yet.

Sorry to hear about the heat. We both need to move to Hawaii. It’s always 80 and breezy. But there’s probably some other issue we don’t know about.
