Let’s See if There are Any Senate Republicans Stupid Enough to Jump on the Carbon Tax Bandwagon

As the linked article documents even liberals in Washington state and Canada rebelled against the insanity of paying more money for the hydrocarbon fuel we use to heat our home and drive to work.  Any republican senator who votes for this deserves to be primaried and cast into the great abyss where Paul Ryan and Jeff Flake wail and gnash their teeth.  But I guarantee that more than one idiot republican senator will.

We really deserve better politicians but I doubt we’ll ever get them.

Absolutely. Never underestimate the power of either greed or stupidity in politics.

It’s truly amazing how harmful these creatures are.

Though most of the useful idiots don’t know, the purpose of “climate change” is to advance the cause of statism. While the percentage of republicans who would qualify as statists is less than that among democrats, it is certainly not non-zero. It makes makes a good litmus test though, pro carbon credit: out, out damned spot.

BTW: I live out in a rural area and just spent 2 weeks with no internet. They don’t get in a hurry when a small number of people are involved and there is no competition.

I sympathize. My cable provider employs the most useless customer service personnel and policies imaginable. I’m more or less convinced that the zombie apocalypse will be a new golden age of sorts. The stupid will be eaten and their remains will go to work for the federal government while the rest of us will rebuild this society along more utilitarian precepts.
