Glad you like it. That is the Milkweed Tussock Moth caterpillar and it is feeding on the seed pod of a milkweed plant. Usually they eat the leaves but this particular plant had already been stripped of leaves by the family of this caterpillar and the seed pods were all that was left. I’ll have some more photos of this species later this week and also the monarch butterfly caterpillars which I enjoy for the bright colors.
With respect to the image, it’s interesting to find odd shapes and geometries in macrophotography. Look at the almost star shaped outlines of the shorter bristles. Geometry shows up in the small creatures because there’s no place to hide it.
