Trump Punishes Mexico With Tariffs Until the Immigration Crisis is Ended

You’ve got to hand it to the President.  He gets right down to brass tacks.

Ratcheting it up incrementally from five percent all the way to twenty five is a nice way to persuade the Mexicans that time is of the essence.  Bravo.

On-Line Article Review – American Thinker – Four Reasons Why the Dems Will Lose in 2020

Someone named Dennis Lund has written a reasonably succinct and pretty convincing summary of what factors should make Trump’s re-election likely.

https://www.americanthinker.com/articles/2019/04/four_reasons_why_the_dems_will_lose_in_2020.html

He breaks it down this way:

  • OVERPLAYING THEIR HAND
  • A RADICAL AGENDA
  • ANTI-AMERICAN PERCEPTION
  • THE ECONOMY IS HUMMING

I’ve read a lot of this kind of stuff but this one is balanced, not overly long and after you read it you actually think he makes good points and isn’t just preaching to the choir.

President Trump is Looking to End Disparate Impact as an Affirmative Action Tool

In addition to the other benefits we get from a Trump presidency he is working to defang all of the regulatory tools that Obama inflicted on us during his regime. Among those disparate impact is one of the most noxious.

Good read.

25JAN2019 – American Greatness Post of the Day – Desperate Embrace at Europe’s Core by Angelo Codevilla

This was a development I hadn’t heard about.  The leaders of France and Germany have agreed to join their foreign policies completely including France’s veto on the UN Security Council.  In other words France and Germany will confer with each other and agree on a response whenever a third nation is in communication with either of the two.  Considering that the present leaders of both France and Germany are both despised by their citizens I can only imagine this will enrage their voters even more.  The line between the people and the elite is becoming a glowing flashpoint.

Desperate Embrace At Europe’s Core

War Pig – The Future of War and Assassination

Watch this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TlO2gcs1YvM

The scary thing is that this is probably being developed somewhere as we speak. We can see where this will be possibly rather shortly. The US, Europe, China, Russia. This video is scary because within a short span of years, maybe this year, it WILL become reality. Then it will “fall into the wrong hands.” Imagine ISIS releasing 300 of those near Times Square on New Years Eve? Or the next Presidential Inauguration. Or the Super Bowl? If it is possible, it will be built. The appetite for these things will be so great you will not be able to suppress their manufacture or dispersal.

Technological advancement is coming so fast it will soon be out of our ability to control it entirely. Skynet. We can’t even secure the Internet, for crying out loud. Any nation with some money and the ability to grow their own or import technical expertise will be doing this sort of thing. Just as drug cartels bought and grew their own chemical engineering expertise, so will terrorist organizations (some of which are still well-funded). This is the future of terror, this is the future of asymmetrical war, this is the future of criminal cartels and groups to eliminate rivals and also politicians/ cops/ judges/ prosecutors with whom they have problems. The good guys could retaliate, but the faces of cops, judges, senators, prime ministers, etc are well known while most drug cartel members aren’t.

Major players in technology such as the US, China, Israel, Russia, India, Europe and South Korea probably already have the capability or will as soon as the art reaches that point. North Korea and Pakistan will not be far behind. Pakistan and the Chinese both will sell anything to anyone for enough money. Pakistan sold nuclear weapons technology and expertise to both Iraq, then later, Iran. Israel’s Mossad cannot kill them all. At least not until the Israelis, major technology players, make their own little death droids.

Any leader or any member of government can be killed almost assuredly. I could easily plan such an attack if the technology was available that would kill almost every member of congress, the President, VP, Supreme Court and anyone else in the chain of command of any of the three branches of government in one fell swoop. If I can, many more could plan it even better. We could end up with the Secretary of Agriculture in charge of the entire government and nation.

Defense? None that I know of if they are AI controlled and not in communication with a base station which could be jammed or hacked. Maybe all our politicians would have to wear Guy Fawkes masks 24/7? But the drones would simply kill anyone in such a mask. Besides, biometrics are already at the point where the face itself is not necessary to ID someone.

Results? Total anarchy.

The Portly Politico Sums Up Carlson’s Essay

Tyler does an excellent job condensing Tucker’s 15 minute video clip to a two minute read.

Watch the video if you have the time

but read read the summation if you can’t spare the time, it’s well written.

Tucker Carlson’s Diagnosis

Tucker Carlson Has a Video That Touches on the Problems Killing Us and the Reasons for Them

This is fifteen minutes long and a lot of it is familiar but it’s extremely well done.  He must be running for President in 2024.  This reads like a campaign platform.  It makes sense and it will make you hate our so-called leaders even more.  He even calls out Romney by name as the face of the uncaring mercenary.

Z-Man Wins the Best Post Title of the Day

http://thezman.com/wordpress/?p=15958

How can you top “Industrial Rumpswabbery” as a post title?  It cannot be done.  And the contents are just as enjoyable.  The Z-Man analyzes how we got from the horribly biased reporting of thirty years ago to our present state where the journalists are just lunatics who’ve escaped from some Ivy League holding pen.

It really simplifies the chore of deciding which main stream news sources to ignore, all of them.

18NOV2018 – American Greatness – Post of the Day – The Bells Toll for Theresa May or Brexit?

Being an American I understand not at all what goes on in England.  The once mighty British Empire of Henry V and Elizabeth I, is now better understood as the land of Basil Fawlty and the ever insipid, Prince Charles the Dolt.  So, if Christopher Gage, an Englishman and the author of this piece doesn’t know whether that troubled realm is about to throw off the shackles of indenture to the EU or tuck tail and beg for re-admittance, then how should I?

Being at heart an optimist.  I want to believe they’ll escape.  After all, the hard work is done.  They’ve won the vote, they’ve run out the clock with the EU, all that remains is walking away and picking a new direction.  But being the globalist that she is Theresa May is determined to snatch defeat out of the jaws of victory and shackle Britain to the moribund corpse of the European Union.

Gage claims that the Brexiteers are about to pull the plug on May with a no confidence vote in the next week or so.  Let’s hope this happens.  Otherwise anything is possible, up to and including a re-vote on Brexit.  To paraphrase the “Iron Lady” come on Basil don’t go wobbly on us now.

Captain Capitalism Has a Short Post on Unreliable Reviews

Here’s the link:

https://captaincapitalism.blogspot.com/2018/11/why-you-cant-trust-critics-score-of.html

The attached Youtube clip has a rant about a She-Ra cartoon that is quite heated.  But the point is well taken.  Critics ratings that are completely opposite to the viewers ratings will be associated with a left-wing ideological point being made, not an artistic or entertainment viewpoint.

Maybe it goes without saying that the Oscars or Rotten Tomatoes Critics’ Reviews are biased for left wing clap-trap and against anything conservative.  But I mention it to remind the readers here of the breathtaking honesty and marvelously refined taste exhibited by the critics you read here at OCF.  How do they do it?
