The Hollywood Reporter is a rag that’s been around forever and purports to know something about film. They’ve put out a list of what they claim are the “best” films of the 21st Century. If you go through this list from start to finish you’ll most say, “Huh?” Which is a good thing. Most of this dreck explores the neuroses of sexual deviants trying to figure out why they are desperately unhappy and at odds with normal human experience. Good luck with enjoying that with a tub of popcorn. There are one or two movies that were entertaining or meaningful but as a list to choose entertainment it’s a joke, a bad joke.
One of these days I need to publish some best movie lists by categories and put these professional critics to well deserved shame.

I just went through the list and agree with a total of one of his selections, the Japanese animated “Spirited Away”. I wouldn’t give you a nickle for the lot of the rest. Brokeback Mountain? One of the best movies of the century? Give me a break.
This list is based on selecting movies based on their ideological alignment with the present social justice agenda. It’s sexual deviancy and anti-white virtue signaling all the way down. Gee, that sounds like fun to me! If anything good ends up on the list it’s a complete accident.
I have heard of two and saw two. I saw Wall-E with my grandson and I saw Grizzly Man which I thought was hilarious. I had heard of Black Panther and Brokeback, the latter due to the controversy.
Top Gun Maverick should have been on the list.
Nobody watches the big award shows because the top winners are all movies that are shown almost exclusively in hard liberal areas, because they won’t sell any popcorn in Paducah
So they’re two for fifty. That’s a battling average of .040. Not so hot. And even at that they chose Wall-E because it was an environmental cautionary tale not because it was entertaining. They’re hopeless as a source for choosing movies to see. You’d be better off using their list as a way of eliminating movies from your list of possibilities.
