08JAN2018 – American Greatness Post of the Day – Julie Kelly – Carlson’s Invisible Hand Riles Conservative Critics

It seems everyone on our side of the fence was impressed with Tucker Carlson’s video monologue on what’s gone wrong in America.  But in Julie Kelly’s post she finds the reaction of NeverTrump folks like David French and Ben Shapiro to be decidedly negative.

Carlson’s Invisible Political Hand Riles Conservative Critics

Well, I’m not surprised.  Tucker must be doing something really right to have the friends he does and the enemies also.  Let’s hope he can help President Trump get his message out and start reversing some of the damage that Carlson has highlighted.

I read French’s column, though I haven’t yet heard Shapiro’s reaction. David French has become so noodle-wristed and ineffectual, his columns have become painful to read. He’s so insistent on vague “principles” that he maneuvers himself into a corner of ineffectiveness. His column about Carlson’s speech pretty much agrees with the underlying premises of Carlson’s monologue, but dismisses Carlson because he exaggerates a handful of facts. Talk about sacrificing the good to the perfect.

Of course it’s not true. As Trump said he knows politicians, he bought enough of them. There have been two Presidents in my memory who have not been owned, lock, stock and barrel, by the political parties – Eisenhower and Trump. Ike did real good. The Orange Man is on the right track so far. Gives me hope.
