After being gutted by the celebrity lawsuit that Peter Thiel paid for back in 2018, Gawker will die a second time. The bankrupted media property was resuscitated by a company called “Bustle.” Bustle rebranded as BDG Media but in the current recessionary environment it has decided to pull the plug on Gawker, hopefully for good. Gawker was a sleazy site that traded in human misery. It’s death or re-death is a sign of hope for the digital world.
