All the Secrets of the Universe and Some Really Important Stuff Too!
We have several pair in the ponds near our house. At least two have 3-4 hatchlings with more expected.
Mr. and Mrs. Mallard show up here every year and raise a family. This is at least the fourth year of their residency so I wonder how long mallards live. I’ll miss them if they stop showing up.
Barring disease, predation or other misadventure, somewhere around 15 uears.
Good. They’re good neighbors.
