The Wavelet

Getting old makes everything, if not worse, then definitely harder.  I had the two younger grandsons over and one of them wanted to have a baseball catch.  And that is one of my favorite grandson activities.  But what I didn’t reckon with was the fact that he was now entering high school and had become much stronger.  So that meant we were standing about twice as far apart as we used to and that if he threw the ball a little too far or too far left or right, I would have to break into a full run to catch the ball on the fly.  And at first this was exhilarating and made me feel like a kid again.  But it was 85 degrees out and after about twenty minutes I was sweating and puffing like an old man (which I am!).  But it was great.  I think that was the most fun we ever had together.  And I was so proud to see how athletic he’d become.  His fast ball was a rocket.  It stung my hand through the glove!

But right now, work stinks.  I’ve got all these extra hours and it’s ruining the summer.  I want to hand the job over to someone else but no one else is stupid enough to accept it.  So, it’s me.  End of job rant.

As anyone who’s been paying attention knows the communists are making major inroads against “moderate” Democrats in the urban centers.  This reflects the voting pattern of millennial and zoomer radicals and includes their embrace of the whole Gaza “genocide” claim.  And this is causing a noticeable collision between Jewish Democrat politicians and their constituencies.  We saw this with the New York City congressional races but it’s happening elsewhere and it doesn’t spare Jewish candidates just because they’re “diverse.”

Here’s Scott Weiner, a Jewish San Francisco LGBTQ hero, who is running for Nancy Pelosi’s congressional seat, being hounded out of a trans-parade because he won’t call Gaza a genocide.

The unhinged behavior of the three gatekeepers chasing him off the parade ground is indicative of the primacy of the Gaza genocide plank of the communist movement.  Regardless of what other causes you can point to on your political grievance bingo card if the Zionist spot isn’t covered you lose and no election win for you!  Now this is going to cause some problems for these people when we get to the general election.  First off, they’re going to have trouble raising money for their campaigns.  A lot of the big donors are Jewish and they’re most probably not loving all of this.  And they’ll be expressing their unhappiness by closing their check books.  And in some cities like San Francisco, the older voting population has a much more nuanced position than Gaza = Israeli genocide.  So, if, for instance, Scott Weiner wins Pelosi’s seat I wonder just how friendly he’s going to be with the Mamdani mafia that will be installed next year.

Now, maybe I’m wrong about how this schism on the Left will affect the 2026 midterms but I’ll be surprised if we see a blue wave.  I think it’ll be a much less impressive wavelet than promised.

If I remember correctly the “Jewish” voting block has always been almost monolithic in its support for the democratic party. Now they get paid back in the coin most commonly used by that party, “What have you done for me lately?” It’s amazing that after 75 years of on again off again support, when the Israeli government tries to settle an issue that has been festering on its border, and is self-inflicted by the residents of Gaza, that we scream as a nation “What about the children?” The Gaza population chose their leaders once upon a time, the Palestinians are less welcome in every middle Eastern country than they are in Israel, due to their track record of disturbances in search of power, and easy money. They have been exiled from everywhere else, and now pissed off the last place they were allowed to make refuge.

I don’t like violence, but understand that weakness is fatal in that region, and only by being stronger than your neighbors/enemies can you survive.

Hamas leadership picked this fight, and now seems to be regretting it, kinda weird all the casualties are women and children, no uniforms, and no military aged males. Maybe we are not getting the whole story.

Sounds ok to me. I am Germanic on dad’s side and Blackfoot on mom’s side. Of course there are various flavors melted into both sides. Dad’s side brought war brides home with them occasionally. Mom’s side has a small dash of Irish. She said an Irish mountain man couldn’t outrun one of her female ancestors. Dad’s side has a dash of Scottish and two dashes of undetermined Native American blood.

As a halfbreed I’ve experienced both acceptance and rejection from both races. Me and my brother look more like dad and sis looked more like mom. Go figure. So some natives think I’m an apple (Red on the outside and White inside) while some Palefaces considered me ro be another Red Nigger. Ya just have to let it roll off your back.

Being in both camps, most Black guys accepted me. After all, very few of them are African Black and have some Honky in their family trees. Other mixed folks get along as well. Very few Americans can claim pure ancestry if they’ve been in the US more than 3 generations. Even those who do so claim would likely be surprised by a DNA test. As soon as the Mayflower set sail from England people were fooling around ‘tween decks. Humans will fornicate with just about anybody. Even Strom Thurmond had a Black mistress for decades and a child with her.

So us mutts have a proud heritage of our own. We tend to be healthier due to a thing called hybrid vigor. Embrace your varied ancestry. After all, there’s nothing you can do about it.

As for the nation, I believe we need more Whiteish babies. Also we need to eject all the illegals who have bum rushed the border to provide Democrats with more voters and brown shirts. After all, look what happened to a good deal when the Palefaces were let in 416 years ago at Jamestown.

I also believe as the Founders did. Only those with a stake in the election should vote. No letting people with no property voting to raise property taxes. The masses will vote themselves bread and circuses as they did in ancient Rome and are doing so today. They can demand spending on their support by wealth redistribution, which is fancy robbery. When you rob from Peter to pay Paul, you can always count on Paul’s vote. AOC once said that taxes are the price you pay for living in a civilized country. Wrong. Taxes are the bribe you pay to stay out of prison.

What’s My Identity?

People in the dissident right are fond of quoting Singapore’s first prime minister Lee Kuan Yew as saying, “In multiracial societies, you don’t vote in accordance with your economic interests and social interests, you vote in accordance with race and religion.”  Now I understand the rationale when it comes to a place like Singapore.  The cultural and social views of the Chinese, Malay and Indian populations are strikingly different and in a zero-sum game where losing means living in a society that would be highly antagonistic to your way of life, I could see how voting your “race” would be critical.

But how would that relate to the United States?  It seems to me that the popular culture is currently so strange to me that it couldn’t get any stranger if this became a Latino or Chinese majority society.  But in fact, what I notice is that younger, assimilated Latino and Asian Americans mimic the same weird standard culture that their white American friends use.  All of them use a sort of hip-hop patois that seems to have been formulated on TikTok or some product manufacturer like Nike.  Well, I can’t imagine anything more alienating than that.  So, I’m not sure what I should expect from the majority minority (or is it minority majority) future we’re waiting on.  In fact, because the worst proponents of anti-white bigotry all seem to be really pasty white, I can’t make up my mind how I want to fit into this scary future.

My experience has been that most of the problems with minorities in the parts of American life that I have had experience with occurred because the government (or schools or corporations) run by white people decided that affirmative action was a good idea.  Even in the terrible situation we find ourselves in today with the urban black underclass committing unsustainable levels of property and violent crime we could still improve our situation immeasurably if we just put an end to all forms of affirmative action and reestablished equal treatment under the law for everyone by getting rid of all the protected classes we’ve invented.

But what about the idea that I am better off sticking with my own kind?  The truth is my own kind doesn’t exist.  I’m a mutt.  Both my parents’ ancestors came from Southern Italian stock.  There is absolutely nothing standard about that population.  Just within my siblings I have a mixture of blue, hazel and dark brown eyes.  Hair (where it still exists and isn’t gray) is either dirty blond or close to black.  Skin color varies from very light to olive.  There are tall and short people and a whole slew of intellectual and personality traits exhibited.  I grew up in an Italian ghetto of Brooklyn.  But my neighbors included Irish, Jewish, Polish and Russian people and to be honest it wasn’t like the Italians were some quantum leap closer to me personally than the other types.  In fact, in grade school, my two closest friends were a German kid with ash blond hair and a kid whose parents were Irish and Italian.  A lot of the Italian kids I knew in the neighborhood (not all of them of course) wanted to be mafiosi.  Later on, they found out the hard way that they weren’t.  But they wanted to be and this made them extremely unpleasant neighbors.

Now growing up in Brooklyn in that time I was well aware that there were black and Latino neighborhoods where I shouldn’t go.  These were dangerous because the inhabitants were welfare recipients that existed in a lawless environment.  But as I grew up, I went to school with and worked with black and Latino New Yorkers that were just regular people doing their jobs.  Some of them I got along with and some I didn’t.  A lot like the various varieties of “white” people I lived among.

And in the engineering field over the last thirty some-odd years I have worked with lots of Indian and Chinese people.  Like their white counterparts some were good people and some were real jerks.  But once again, all the trouble I’ve seen surrounding them has had to do with attempts to satisfy affirmative action.  In fact, the most egregious cases seemed to be attempts to have women, mostly white women (and strangely mostly blonde white women) promoted above their levels of competence.  So once again this reinforces my thoughts about affirmative action.

So, to drive this home, who are my people?  Are they random white people that include most of the woke young people?  Are they Americans of Southern Italian ancestry?  To be honest, I think my people are people who identify with the culture that was forged in mid-twentieth century America.  They grew up believing that they could raise their families in an America that was based on working for a living and obeying the rules.  It was a simple place where regardless of race or ethnicity they respected the Founding Fathers for setting up the Constitution that guaranteed us freedoms and allowed us to live together without chaotic violence or poverty.

Of course, opening up the borders to millions of poor immigrants that won’t be assimilated into the American culture is an obvious disaster that must be stopped.  But the problems have been purposefully exacerbated by the Democrats and their shock troops like Antifa and BLM.  Now that the Supreme Court has begun reversing some of the affirmative action judicial decisions maybe things can get straightened out.  And after the borders are closed and the illegals sent home things can get back to normal.  Or maybe they won’t.

 

But honestly, I still feel that anyone can be on my team if he just tries to follow the rules and doesn’t tell me I’m the cause for all his problems because my skin is a light shade.  Anyone who can’t accommodate those two things isn’t on my side.  So, I hate to say it but my identity is American.  I hope that doesn’t sound too lame.

Tucker Carlson Addresses Dems Stoking Race Hatred through the Buffalo Shooting

I’d say this was one of Carlson’s most thoughtful and effective discussions of how racialist political policies end up in mentally ill people committing violent and senseless acts.  I especially liked how he compared the racial hatred in Rwanda between the two black ethnicities, the Hutus and the Tutsis, with how the Democrats are stoking racial hatred in the United States.

The demonization of a whole race, whites, by the practitioners of critical race theory over the last ten years has now begun to bear fruit with black and white individuals with axes to grind acting out some race war fantasy on the streets of our cities.  And with the police now sidelined thanks to the George Floyd movement, these mentally ill people have an easy time slipping through the cracks and unleashing mayhem and murder on innocent people just trying to live their lives.

Carlson starts off the show by noting that over the last weekend a hundred and four Americans were shot to death.  This puts in perspective the 10 murders committed by the Buffalo shooter.  The ten murders were horrifying but hardly exceptional or even dominant on a national level.  It was just another example of the breakdown of law and order in Joe Biden’s America.  People can try to demagogue using racial politics to take advantage of this tragedy but until the Democrats drop identity politics this will be the future of our country going forward.

Even the Hopeless Narcissists Are Waking Up

How horrible must things now be if someone as addicted to make believe as Bill Mahr says that things have gone too far?  Bill Mahr had a monologue on his show where he tried to explain to his audience of cretins that if America now has a different national anthem for black people, then the Left has revived segregation all on its own.  Apparently Mahr thinks he still lives in a world where the Left cares about fairness or even sanity.  His point is that if we let every race or ethnicity have its own bubble then we would no longer be “one nation indivisible.”

How cute!  After spending a century sledge hammering the country to bits, now they’re afraid that white people may realize that the other identities don’t consider themselves part of “America.”  Well Bill, it’s too late.  We know the score and most of us are well beyond caring whether they kneel to the “Star Spangled Banner” or stand in rapt attention for “Lift Every Voice and Sing.”  These people are not our countrymen anymore.  They’re just grifters looking for another payday.

What it does tell me is that Bill Mahr knows that the jig is up and the powers that be better start reeling in the crazy before the pot boils over.  Or maybe Bill is trying to hold onto the part of his audience that still believes that America can still fool most of the people most of the time.  Maybe he’s right.  Maybe there are still tens of millions of idiots who think all of us will just magically come together with Left and Right joining hands around the flag singing Kumbaya.

But even if there is a huge chunk of stupid people buying into this sad story, I think the portion that has awakened to reality is large enough to start making a meaningful difference.  When thirty to forty percent of the population no longer believes in the concept of a republic it’s a pretty good bet that that country is going to decline pretty fast.  I don’t think it will implode the way that the Soviet Union did in just a decade or two after its people gave up on it.  There’s too much money and resources in this place to force it into the ground that fast.  But it’s easy to see that this isn’t the same America as the 20th century version.  The Left got their way.  They’ve turned it into a land of factions.  And the people they are trying to disinherit will be the largest and angriest faction of all.  It may take another twenty years but what will be left will be a Yugoslavia.  And eventually that breaks apart.  Maybe that was their plan all along.  But when it does break up the parts will be different from the former whole.  There may be a place for each of the new identities.  Not that it will be a smooth transition.  There will be a lot of jostling.  But there is the possibility that mostly everyone will be happier than we are now.  My guess is the only ones who won’t be happier are the grifters who set this whole thing up.  Seeing all those people happy to be rid of them is sure to make them miserable.  But you can hardly fault me for smiling about that.  A question that I am still working out is whether I want to stick around for that whole messy civil war thing.  It seems like a bad idea.

But anyway, once the country has been busted up it will be appropriate to have multiple national anthems.  The only question is whether anyone will get stuck with “Lift Every Voice and Sing.”

Merging Identity Politics with Color Blind Policies

The Dissident Right’s agenda is defined by two facts that they broadcast pretty constantly.  One is that the United States will soon be a minority majority voting population.  The other is that we are not going to vote our way out of the Left’s control.

The demographics of the first assertion seem very likely.  The second proposition revolves around the fact that other ethnicities will vote their own self interests and that they will be convinced that the Democrat agenda represents those self-interests.  I’m not going to state categorically that they are wrong on this second point.  After all, the Democrats get close to 90% of the black vote and the majority of the other non-white ethnic votes.  But even if we despair of winning the national vote for President, within the swing states it seems worthwhile to look at how the ethnic vote could be added to a coalition.

The first thing that should be admitted is that prying the black vote away from the Democrats, even in a Red State is probably an impossibility, at least for the foreseeable future.  And with the recent polarization caused by BLM and Antifa the real question concerning the black population is whether they will be willing to live peaceably with their neighbors at all.  But let’s look at the rest of the ethnic populations.

While it is true that the Democrats have managed to coopt the votes of the Asian and Latino voters pretty successfully in the past it is worth thinking about what the current political realities mean for this existing pattern.  And the woke political policies I mean to concentrate on is the current campaign to delegitimize the police and the reverse discrimination tactic called equity.

First the police.  Even in places like Portland OR and Minneapolis MN where the majority of the citizens are hopeless bug men who yearn for a society where muggers, rapists and murderers are judged not by their crimes but by the color of their skins I bet there is a very healthy sized population of normal people who yearn to escape from the madness of BLM protests and the associated lawless reign of terror.  And not so surprisingly I bet there are plenty of Asian and Latino people among them who wish this nightmare would end and life would return to normal.  And of course, there are black people living in this mess who also wish it would end but they’re stuck in their communities and that’s a problem for another day.  To my way of thinking the political message that should be broadcast to the ethnic communities is that living in a woke community means law enforcement cannot restrain the threat from criminals in the black community.

Next comes equity.  The easiest piece of equity to target is what it means for education.  The schools will be dumbed down to avoid “white supremacist ideas” like 2 + 2 = 4.  Some people will claim that only the Asian parents will respond to this second condition but I feel that even many Latino parents are unhappy with the prospect of sending their kids to be taught mush instead of STEM.  After all, even those illegals from Guatemala come here because there’s money to be made.  And they know that education is the key to advancement.

The reason this strategy should work with the non-black minority communities is because woke policies cater almost exclusively to one population, blacks.  And because of this it disadvantages all the rest of the ethnic groups, not just whites.  What other group benefits from black criminals being allowed to rampage through a city.  None.  Everyone else pays the price and it is a steep one.  A clever politician should be able to sell an anti-equity platform to everyone but the black population.

But let’s say that in the swing states the minorities stubbornly cling to the Democrat woke alliance.  Then it is doubly important that the Red States clearly declare that color blind impartiality is the rule for all state-run activities.  In fact, now that the feds and the Blue States have gone all in for “equity” it’s the perfect time to push things back all the way to total color blindness.  In other words, no more reverse discrimination, no more affirmative action, no more quotas, no nothing.  Push back is the right thing at this point.

So that’s the way I think these things should go.  But to do any of this we need real leaders with courage and brains.  We probably should recruit the Wizard of Oz to provide the gifts he gave the Cowardly Lion and the Scarecrow to all the Red State governors and legislators.  And while he’s at it he might as well give them a heart too.

Identity Politics and the Future of America

The author Lipton Matthews persuasively explains why it is very unlikely that Republicans will ever be able to separate black voters from the Democrat party.  Basically voting for them is a group strategy that provides rewards in an overall way.  This is despite the obvious failings or even awfulness of a Maxine Waters or Al Sharpton that even the black voters see.

This is important for white Americans to understand. In the presence of interest groups negotiating for their preferences you must do the same. Appealing to these interest groups in the old way as fellow members of a nation is no longer possible or even desirable.  They do not act in that way.  They do not believe in it.  You should not believe in it.  Instead we need to discover who we can and cannot cooperate with.  Whose interests mostly match up with our own and whose interests are to a greater extent opposed to our own.  A good example would be a place like Singapore.  It is a multi-cultural society that historically has found its ethnicities in violent antagonism toward each other.  In order to thrive it has been necessary to carefully define what behaviors are allowable.  Freedom exists but is also circumscribed by what actions would lead to chaos.

Our country and its freedoms were instituted with the idea that there would not exist differing populations in conflict with each other.  These freedoms cannot exist when powerful groups are gaming the system to discredit it.  Conflict and intimidation is what is being foisted on us.  Criminal behavior is being selectively allowed and the policing of criminal behavior is being attacked and criminalized.  Really the only question is whether an organized resistance will coalesce and provide relief from the attacks.

As the only group currently unrepresented by a political entity it has fallen to the Republican party to serve that purpose for white voters.  But in the future a different organization will emerge.  And this organization does not need to be exclusively white in its membership.  But those who join must need to see their interests as aligned with the interests of the white population of America.  Call it Traditional America.  Call it whatever you want.  But it is the group of people who don’t want to see George Floyd held up as a role model or saint.  It is the group that knows that putting ten year old children on puberty blockers and castrating them or removing their breasts is child abuse and madness.  I’m sure there are reasonable people of every race and ethnicity who would sign up for the platform that used to be called conservatism.  But what is important is that conservatives realize that in the present environment all of those things have disappeared and won’t come back if we keep playing the game under the old rules.
