Tag: Zion National Park

So these are my favorites from the Zion portion of my trip.  Limiting it to about thirty files was extremely difficult.  But I had to reduce it down to a manageable number.  Later I’ll do the same for the House Rock Valley Road Area and the Grand Canyon.

This was Day 2 of our stay at Zion.  This was the view from the back of our tent site

So this is the last one from that day in Zion.

This is a similar shot to one earlier. I took it pointing down closer to the water.

If I remember correctly this was right before the entrance to the Narrows.  This is a narrow canyon around the Virgin River.  It was closed due to flash flooding at the time I was there.

This particular view deserved multiple shots so I include them all here.

I wasn’t going to post this one because the branches in the foreground didn’t come out the way I hoped.  But I like the view so here it is with all its warts.

I thought the rectilinear shape of the blocks on this rock wall was interesting.
