During a recent discussion I was having with a friend, I was told to stop worrying about the culture wars because, \u201cIt\u2019s not ideological, it\u2019s just the globalists pitting people against each other to maximize their profits.\u201d\u00a0 I couldn\u2019t convince my friend that this wasn\u2019t very comforting.\u00a0 Knowing that the Elite that offshores our jobs and the rabid Leftists who want to destroy everything normal and wholesome in our live aren\u2019t really ideological allies is cold comfort because despite their differences they have managed between them to destroy the United States of America.<\/p>\n
But one good comes from the realization that the old America is gone.\u00a0 You no longer have to try to fix the country.\u00a0 There are just two things you have to do.\u00a0 You have to look for the good things that are out there and tune into them and strengthen them.\u00a0 And you have to tune out the bad things and insulate yourself from them and do whatever you can to weaken them.<\/p>\n
Easier said than done.\u00a0 Try if you can, to figure out how to do those two things.\u00a0 Think of examples from your daily life.\u00a0 For instance, during the recent riots my employer decided to have managers engage their direct reports about injustice toward blacks in America.\u00a0 So, I\u2019m listening over the computer to a Canadian telling us that he hadn\u2019t heard of \u201cJuneteenth\u201d before.\u00a0 And then he wanted to know if we had any thoughts.\u00a0 Well, what I wanted to do was tell him that since the rioters had looted and burned down the downtown areas of numerous American cities, I no longer cared about their centuries-old tribulations.\u00a0 But that would have been unwise if I wanted to keep getting a paycheck from them.\u00a0 What I did do was tune this nonsense out.\u00a0 I actually spent the time while this sermonizing was going on checking my e-mail and replying to some comments on this site.\u00a0 And because of that I felt better.<\/strong><\/p>\n And as far as tuning in, I spent time last week reading a couple of authors from our side of the political spectrum.\u00a0 Larry Correia, the author of the Grimnoir series was the leader of the revolt of science fiction authors against the social justice school of science fiction.\u00a0 He led the Sad Puppies movement that revealed the Hugo Awards as the social justice fraud that it really is.\u00a0 And he writes fantasy stories that are 100% free of political correctness and social justice whining.\u00a0 And Jason Anspach and Nick Cole\u2019s Galaxy\u2019s Edge series is a military science fiction breath of fresh air in a world of Star Wars gender confused losers.\u00a0 Enjoying those books and spreading the word on them is my way of tuning in to a part of the world that I want to strengthen.\u00a0 And because of that I felt better.<\/strong><\/p>\n In that way, I can endure the endless betrayals of John Roberts and the other traitors to America that daily sully the news with their crimes.\u00a0 I can endure the cowards on the supposed right and the thugs and lunatics on the Left and the corporatist parasites who work to sell off what is left of the nation.\u00a0 I concentrate on what is good and do my small part to pass the word along.\u00a0 And I work to help the people in my locale who are on my side.\u00a0 I first off, help my family and my friends.\u00a0 Then I work outward to my acquaintances.\u00a0 And that can be fertile ground.\u00a0 I\u2019ve found like minded people at work where I never expected it.\u00a0 It can open up your circle of friends dramatically.\u00a0 Making new links and building new friendships is exciting and makes life better.<\/p>\n Your life is very valuable.\u00a0 Your happiness is also valuable.\u00a0 When the Leftists commit their atrocities, your misery is part of their victory.\u00a0 Your unhappiness weakens you and it weakens our side collectively.\u00a0 And, conversely, when you are happy it strengthens our side.\u00a0 That\u2019s part of the logic of this shutdown.\u00a0 The unhappiness and loneliness it breeds is demoralizing.\u00a0 But if you can tune out the psyops propaganda then they lose and we win.<\/p>\n So, come on.\u00a0 Strike a blow for our side.\u00a0 Call a friend and set up a party or a poker game.\u00a0 Or just get in touch with an old friend you haven\u2019t spoken to in an age and say hi.\u00a0 Send a good book or a link to a good article (maybe this one) to someone who is on our side of the fence.\u00a0 Contribute to President Trump\u2019s re-election campaign.<\/p>\n And tune out the nonsense from the other side.\u00a0 Ignore the doom and gloom.\u00a0 Stop worrying about the elections.\u00a0 Stop worrying about the COVID stuff.\u00a0 Stop worrying about the House and the Senate and the Supreme Court.\u00a0 None of those things are helped by you worrying.\u00a0 Sure, you can convince people on our side to vote and you can make sure you do too.\u00a0 But you aren\u2019t going to turn any tides by yourself so stop worrying.<\/strong><\/p>\n There, don\u2019t you feel a little better already?\u00a0 I do because writing this is my way of tuning in.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" During a recent discussion I was having with a friend, I was told to stop worrying about the culture wars because, \u201cIt\u2019s not ideological, it\u2019s<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_mi_skip_tracking":false,"_exactmetrics_sitenote_active":false,"_exactmetrics_sitenote_note":"","_exactmetrics_sitenote_category":0,"footnotes":""},"categories":[5,818,6],"tags":[606,1342,2560],"class_list":["post-11324","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-current-events","category-ocf","category-trump","tag-the-culture-war","tag-the-culture-war-is-forever","tag-tuning-in-and-tuning-out"],"yoast_head":"\n
