{"id":11985,"date":"2020-09-18T19:28:23","date_gmt":"2020-09-18T23:28:23","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/orionscoldfire.com\/?p=11985"},"modified":"2020-09-18T19:28:23","modified_gmt":"2020-09-18T23:28:23","slug":"additional-voices-at-orions-cold-fire","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/orionscoldfire.com\/index.php\/2020\/09\/18\/additional-voices-at-orions-cold-fire\/","title":{"rendered":"Additional Voices at Orion\u2019s Cold Fire"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Recently I was able to add posts from War Pig and Charlemagne Really on the blog at the same time.\u00a0 And this reminded me of how refreshing it is to get other voices up on the site.\u00a0 It also attracts different readers based on the topics and points of view.<\/p>\n<p>And that has made me more determined to get more guest contributors.\u00a0 What I\u2019m interested in is finding people to write about different interests like hunting, fishing, camping, sports, gaming, different music, and even people of different ages and (gasp) maybe even a woman or two.\u00a0 And I am even interested in people whose politics may even be a click left or right of mine.\u00a0 Now one thing I\u2019m not looking for is the woke folk.\u00a0 They need not apply.\u00a0 I don\u2019t want anyone who thinks America needs to confess its sins and grovel to the BLM crowd, no interest in that stuff at all.\u00a0 But I am aware that the kids are way to the left of me and I think it\u2019s worthwhile to have a dialog with someone moderate but who isn\u2019t screaming fascist at anyone wearing a MAGA hat.<\/p>\n<p>I am trying to find some of the folks who have hobbies that I think people are interested in.\u00a0 One fellow is a gun enthusiast and I know that will spark a lot of interest because it\u2019s fun and it\u2019s also practical.\u00a0 And there are some others out there that might be willing.\u00a0 There\u2019s no big commitment and the writers of course own their material and can even pull it from the site if they so desire at a later date.<\/p>\n<p>So if you or somebody you know wants to share some interesting information or has an essay on why Joe Biden may very well be one of the beasts from Revelations then by all means have him leave a comment on this post or send an e-mail to <a href=\"mailto:orionscoldfire@charter.net\">orionscoldfire@charter.net<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Now, of course, I will review the post first to make sure there isn\u2019t anything in it that I can\u2019t allow.\u00a0 I keep the site at the PG-13 level and I\u2019m careful to keep sacrilegious and really offensive stuff off the site.\u00a0 And I\u2019m not interested in discussing anyone\u2019s theories on who the smartest or the stupidest people in the world are.\u00a0 While aware that no two people are exactly equal in anything, I don\u2019t see the advantage in telling anyone that he is smarter or dumber than me.\u00a0 What I do want is for the government to stop telling me who I have to hire, rent to or live next to based on their latest intersectional guilt trip.\u00a0 I think the laws we\u2019ve always had allowed a dramatically wide range of people to live and work together on a level playing field and in my mind that is a just society.\u00a0 So, while I admit that identity politics may currently be the only way for white people in America to protect themselves from the Marxists, I don\u2019t think that people of various races and ethnicities are incapable of cooperating in a place like the United States.<\/p>\n<p>Okay, enough preaching.\u00a0 Send the writers to me and I\u2019ll provide them with a friendly place to speak.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Recently I was able to add posts from War Pig and Charlemagne Really on the blog at the same time.\u00a0 And this reminded me of<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_mi_skip_tracking":false,"_exactmetrics_sitenote_active":false,"_exactmetrics_sitenote_note":"","_exactmetrics_sitenote_category":0,"footnotes":""},"categories":[5,818],"tags":[157],"class_list":["post-11985","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-current-events","category-ocf","tag-ocf"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v20.4 -
