For the second time in a week I\u2019ve been lectured about how hopeless the election lawsuits are.\u00a0 Now there is no way of knowing how things will turn out.\u00a0 But assuming the worst doesn\u2019t make sense to me.\u00a0 I\u2019ll let the President and his advisors do everything they can to straighten out this mess.\u00a0 And if it works out in our favor then we\u2019ll have great laugh about all this.\u00a0 And if it goes against us then we\u2019ll have to start figuring what will be best for us in a country that cheats its people out of their God given rights.\u00a0 But why should I have to assume we can\u2019t win?\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 That\u2019s the same talk I heard back in 2016 from the same people.\u00a0 Now maybe they\u2019re right this time.\u00a0 But I\u2019ll be damned if I\u2019m going to make that my default opinion.<\/p>\n
One thing it\u2019s interesting to see is who were our real friends and who turned out to be skunks.\u00a0 And right on cue Fox News turns out to be populated by leftists and corporate shills who went out of their way to stab the President in the back whenever and wherever they could.\u00a0 Tucker Carlson and the few real Americans left there should think long and hard about exiting for a better option.\u00a0 Of course, that\u2019s the problem with the Left owning all the media.\u00a0 We were dependent on Fox to provide an alternative.\u00a0 Any start up might not be able to pay high earners like Carlson the salaries they are used to.<\/p>\n
But remember, President Trump is in charge at least into January.\u00a0 That is plenty of time to decide how dire our circumstances are and to make whatever provisions are possible.\u00a0 In the meantime, live your life and enjoy the season and the holidays that are approaching to whatever extent the COVID secret police will allow you.\u00a0 And don\u2019t let it all be ruined even before it begins.\u00a0 I intend to have some turkey with stuffing, gravy, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce, buttered rolls and candied yams.\u00a0 I\u2019ll have pumpkin, apple, strawberry rhubarb, cocoanut custard and blueberry pies available for the proceedings and I intend to watch the March of the Wooden Soldiers and Gulliver\u2019s Travels with my two-year-old granddaughter for the first time.\u00a0 We\u2019ll sit around and the women will prepare the food and we\u2019ll all talk about family and the things we plan to do before it gets too cold and snowy to accomplish.\u00a0 And we\u2019ll talk about the folks who aren\u2019t around anymore and those who couldn\u2019t be here because of the COVID foolishness.\u00a0 But I sure as hell don\u2019t intend to turn my life into a funeral because gangsters are planning to take over the country.\u00a0 If it turns out that they\u2019ve won I\u2019ll make my plans based on that but I\u2019ll be no worse off than my ancestors who had to deal with the Mafia and the petty aristocracy that ran Italy back in the nineteenth century.\u00a0 My hope is that Americans are too stubborn to be turned into serfs.\u00a0 Maybe I\u2019m right about that or maybe I\u2019m wrong.\u00a0 But time will tell.\u00a0 Let\u2019s let the act play out.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
