The good guys at Whatfinger have asked me if I\u2019d be interested in getting them to link up to a Friday feature on OCF where I put together a bunch links to good articles I\u2019ve found.\u00a0 With that in mind if any of the readers here come across any interesting links put them in the comments to this post and I\u2019ll check them out.\u00a0 I\u2019ve also reached out to some other blogs that I am associated with to see if they have anything I might want to look at.\u00a0 So this should be an interesting learning experience for me.\u00a0 I\u2019m thinking of calling it photog\u2019s Friday Finds.\u00a0 What do you think, clever enough?\u00a0 You see, because ph sounds like f it\u2019s alliterative, right right?\u00a0 Anyway I\u2019m still working on the name.<\/p>\n
More people are coming to the site and commenting.\u00a0 And yesterday I had a commenter \u201cJohn Chapter 8,\u201d who took issue with my definition of a what traditional wife was.\u00a0 Okay, so we disagree.\u00a0 He may state things a little more angrily than I choose to but I see the points he\u2019s making.\u00a0 Maybe he saw the point that my reply to him was trying to make.\u00a0 The main thing is there was some dialog.\u00a0 And as long as it doesn\u2019t turn into some insane rant then information has a chance to pass back and forth.\u00a0 And others reading this also can make up their minds about what is being debated.\u00a0 I\u2019m actually supportive of a reasonable airing out of opinions.\u00a0 My way of looking at it is, have your say.\u00a0 If everyone has his say then at least you get that much satisfaction.\u00a0 It\u2019s not like anyone is going to convince everyone even on a small site like OCF to think the same way.\u00a0 But there is value in making your case.\u00a0 Being forced to make a persuasive argument sharpens the mind.\u00a0 You may even have to modify your own beliefs if you look at them closely enough.<\/p>\n
I think a significant number of people have found the \u201cReclaiming the Family\u201d series interesting.\u00a0 I intend to look around at additional subjects under that category that I can think about.\u00a0 In general I think it\u2019s time to start looking at how all this madness in our politics is effecting regular people and write about that.\u00a0 One avenue that could really use attention is the effect on the younger people.\u00a0 And by younger I\u2019m extending that all the way up to people in their forties.\u00a0 As a codger I am sort of trapped in the \u201cboomer mindset.\u201d\u00a0 I get a kick out of the \u201csure boomer\u201d meme that the zoomers and millennials have adopted as their battle cry.\u00a0 I am not unsympathetic to their position but I also think they are being manipulated to some extent by certain of their peers.\u00a0 For every selfish old guy who is saying \u201clet them eat cake\u201d there are ten oldies who worry constantly about their children and grandchildren and want to help build a brighter future than the bleak dystopia that the Left is making.<\/p>\n
Anyway, this should be a busy week and there are all kind of cultural and political things I am looking at.\u00a0 I just started reading Solzhenitsyn\u2019s Gulag Archipelago and it has opened my eyes to just how far we will have to fall before we are anything close to the horror show that Soviet Russia was.\u00a0 And other stuff too.\u00a0 Have a great day.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
