Even a year ago there were plenty of people who honestly hoped that the Left and Right could paper over their differences and find a path forward that both sides could live with.\u00a0 Sort of a Missouri Compromise for the 21st<\/sup> century.<\/p>\n

I don\u2019t believe that is any longer the case.\u00a0 Sure, there are some people who make believe that everything will work out in the end and really this is all for the best.\u00a0 But all of those people are on the Left.\u00a0 Although some of them think of themselves as being in the middle.\u00a0 But if you see what they are willing to tolerate then not calling them the Left is inaccurate.\u00a0 Anyway, the Left figures that if they just keep doing what they\u2019re doing now, we\u2019ll either see the light of their day or just give up and go along with the inevitability of the right side of history.<\/p>\n

But other than people who are completely unaware of what is happening on the ground everyone on the Right knows that we cannot live with the Left any longer.\u00a0 The hatred they have for us is visceral and the tactics they are willing to use to get their way are not tolerable.<\/p>\n

So, here we are.\u00a0 We know what we need, separation.\u00a0 What we don\u2019t know is how or when.\u00a0 It seems fairly apparent that it won\u2019t be an easy process.\u00a0 I\u2019ll even say it won\u2019t be bloodless, although, I don\u2019t think we\u2019re talking about a shooting war with tanks and drones and ground divisions.\u00a0 I think it will be something like the Fall of the Soviet Union.\u00a0 Things at the edges will start to unravel and the powers that be will lose control of the narrative and then start to lose control of events.\u00a0 To a small extent it\u2019s already happening.\u00a0 The Red State governors stopped even paying lip service to President \u201cMask Up!\u201d and just declared the COVID fiasco over.\u00a0 And they made it stick.\u00a0 And even the Blue State governors understood that they couldn\u2019t keep the charade going any longer.\u00a0 What will be the next domino to fall?\u00a0 Will it be illegal aliens?\u00a0 Will Texas start rounding them up on its own or denying them work and forcing them to leave?\u00a0 Maybe.\u00a0 Will the Supreme Court tell Alabama they can\u2019t stop abortions after the heartbeat of the baby and will Alabama ignore them?\u00a0 Maybe.<\/p>\n

So, nobody knows how all this will go but we do know what we don\u2019t want.\u00a0 We don\u2019t want BLM destroying our lives.\u00a0 In fact, we don\u2019t want affirmative action anymore.\u00a0 If the Supreme Court thinks affirmative action is constitutional then the Supreme Court has to go.\u00a0 We don\u2019t want to defund the police.\u00a0 Say what you will about the police.\u00a0 Some of them are thugs too.\u00a0 But my odds of avoiding crime are a hell of a lot better if the boys in blue are keeping the Bloods and the Crips on a very short leash.\u00a0 We want color blind justice so that a melting pot like the United States was can come close to treating everyone sort of fairly.\u00a0 We don\u2019t want to be told what we can and cannot say or believe and we don\u2019t want anyone telling us who we have to like or dislike.\u00a0 And we damn sure know we need to be able to protect ourselves with our own weapons.\u00a0 We may even need to protect ourselves from the Federal government.\u00a0 The FBI has become the KGB, an enemy of the free people and we have more to fear from them than from any Russian threat.<\/p>\n

We know we’re two different nations.\u00a0 All we need now is a way to make it official.<\/p>\n

So that\u2019s what I think.\u00a0 Does anyone disagree and think we\u2019ll be able to meet the Left in the middle?\u00a0 Let me know.\u00a0 I\u2019m always interested in other opinions.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
