{"id":14719,"date":"2021-06-02T10:13:36","date_gmt":"2021-06-02T14:13:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/orionscoldfire.com\/?p=14719"},"modified":"2021-06-02T10:13:36","modified_gmt":"2021-06-02T14:13:36","slug":"the-zman-has-a-post-about-the-upcoming-scotus-cases","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/orionscoldfire.com\/index.php\/2021\/06\/02\/the-zman-has-a-post-about-the-upcoming-scotus-cases\/","title":{"rendered":"The ZMan Has a Post About the Upcoming SCOTUS Cases"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>ZMan reviews the two rather important upcoming Supreme Court cases on abortion restrictions and gun rights that are expected to be decided this Fall.\u00a0 The Mississippi case is reviewing the constitutionality of a 15 week maximum on the age of the unborn child before abortion becomes illegal.\u00a0 The gun case has to do with the New York law that makes it impossible for a gun owner to transport his legal gun out side of his home.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/thezman.com\/wordpress\/?p=23982\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">https:\/\/thezman.com\/wordpress\/?p=23982<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The ZMan is of the opinion that the Supreme Court will fold to left-wing pressure in both cases.\u00a0 He thinks the threat of packing the court is sufficient to get the Roberts court to cringe in fear and do as they&#8217;re told by their masters.\u00a0\u00a0He&#8217;s probably right.\u00a0 Roberts is a coward and a fool.\u00a0 He&#8217;s already proved that.<\/p>\n<p>But the real question is the one that is implied by the assumed result of the decisions.\u00a0 Will Mississippi or some other state that has put restrictions on abortion tell the federal government no?\u00a0 It would be crossing the Rubicon.\u00a0 Once a state tells the federal government, &#8220;<strong>No,&#8221;<\/strong> a lot of things could happen up to and including the feds arresting legislators and governors.<\/p>\n<p>Will it happen?\u00a0 Right now I&#8217;m not sure.\u00a0 I don&#8217;t know enough about the men who run these states.\u00a0 Are they ready for the eventuality?\u00a0 Have they come up with another intermediate action that will provide a similar result?<\/p>\n<p>Of course it&#8217;s easy for me to talk about important people throwing down against the most powerful human organization on the face of the earth as if it were just two men fighting over who gets a parking spot for his car.\u00a0 Messing with Washington is very consequential.\u00a0 The last time anyone tried was during the Civil Rights era and Washington came out on top.\u00a0 Serious individuals would only cross the line if they had a very strong idea about how they could win that fight.<\/p>\n<p>But we&#8217;ll all learn something important this Fall.\u00a0 First off we&#8217;ll find out how cowardly and traitorous the Supreme Court really is when it crawls on its belly.\u00a0 Next we&#8217;ll find out if any state has the strength to tell the feds to screw.\u00a0 That&#8217;s something worth knowing.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ZMan reviews the two rather important upcoming Supreme Court cases on abortion restrictions and gun rights that are expected to be decided this Fall.\u00a0 The<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_mi_skip_tracking":false,"_exactmetrics_sitenote_active":false,"_exactmetrics_sitenote_note":"","_exactmetrics_sitenote_category":0,"footnotes":""},"categories":[5],"tags":[1154,2849,576,28,131,343,886],"class_list":["post-14719","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-current-events","tag-conservative-supreme-court","tag-red-state-activism","tag-scotus","tag-second-amendment","tag-supreme-court","tag-thezman-com","tag-zman"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v20.4 -
