{"id":14835,"date":"2021-06-12T10:06:08","date_gmt":"2021-06-12T14:06:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/orionscoldfire.com\/?p=14835"},"modified":"2021-06-12T10:06:08","modified_gmt":"2021-06-12T14:06:08","slug":"12jun2021-ocf-update","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/orionscoldfire.com\/index.php\/2021\/06\/12\/12jun2021-ocf-update\/","title":{"rendered":"12JUN2021 &#8211; OCF Update"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>As you may have noted, my daily photo is now solidly past photos of summer 2020 and into the fall with autumn foliage colors and leaves all withered and sear.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/orionscoldfire.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/DSC00003_1-scaled.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-14790\" src=\"https:\/\/orionscoldfire.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/DSC00003_1-scaled.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"2560\" height=\"1707\" srcset=\"https:\/\/orionscoldfire.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/DSC00003_1-scaled.jpg 2560w, https:\/\/orionscoldfire.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/DSC00003_1-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/orionscoldfire.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/DSC00003_1-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/orionscoldfire.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/DSC00003_1-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/orionscoldfire.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/DSC00003_1-1536x1024.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/orionscoldfire.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/DSC00003_1-2048x1365.jpg 2048w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 2560px) 100vw, 2560px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Juxtaposed against the very verdant summer outside my window I find it stimulating to enjoy the contrast.\u00a0 And it reminds me not to waste the chance of getting out in the world and soaking up the summer air and sun.\u00a0 It&#8217;s turned cool and rainy today and we&#8217;ll have a bit of cool weather for a few days but with any luck global warming will come to my rescue.<\/p>\n<p>After the elation I described in conquering the lawn mower repair I bragged that I was looking for new worlds to conquer with my newly minted mechanical aptitude.\u00a0 Well, pride goeth before the fall and Camera Girl reminded me that I had promised to fix a leaky drain line on the kitchen sink.\u00a0 I was going to call a plumber.\u00a0 The line is one of those new-fangled plastic lines that have invaded our piping systems of late.\u00a0 And I&#8217;ll bet dollars to donuts it will require all kinds of fittings and adhesives that I do not possess.\u00a0 Well, what can you do.\u00a0 My pride won&#8217;t let me call the professional now.\u00a0 Well, not until the water gets too deep.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Tyler Cook of the Portly Politico and I have decided to cross link on our reviews for the 2019 movie based on H.P. Lovecraft&#8217;s story &#8220;The Colour Out of Space.&#8221;\u00a0 We both thought this movie was awful but we thought that readers should enjoy the nuanced differences between the reviews.\u00a0 Actually what you&#8217;ll see is our two styles.\u00a0 Tyler is a witty and intelligent writer and I like to rant.\u00a0 This exciting literary event will occur at 6:30 AM Monday, June 14th 2021.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>On the politics side we are firmly into the Silly Season lull but there are stories emerging that indicate that the &#8220;Great Reset&#8221;
