I was casting about among the Roman emperors to try and find an equivalent for Biden.\u00a0 But I couldn\u2019t do it.\u00a0 He has some of Caligula\u2019s and Nero\u2019s perversity but both of those psychopaths were much more honest.\u00a0 While Tiberius was known to have a dissolute character, he was also a very able general.\u00a0 No one could possibly accuse the Hero of Kabul of being that.\u00a0 Even among the flotsam and jetsam of the fourth century I couldn\u2019t find the right combination of greed, dishonesty, moral degeneracy and just downright stupidity needed to approximate Joe\u2019s specialness.<\/p>\n
So, I declared defeat and decided Joe was unique.\u00a0 But there\u2019s got to be a way of explaining how the formerly greatest nation on the face of the Earth is now headed by a lying, thieving, lecherous, imbecile.\u00a0 One part of that is the fact that he was Obama\u2019s vice president.\u00a0 And that can be explained by saying that Obama is also a very dishonest man.\u00a0 So, was part of Biden\u2019s selection by Obama dependent on Joe\u2019s willingness to share in the graft?\u00a0 Probably so.\u00a0 In that case I suppose it\u2019s actually an advantage that he\u2019s a moron.\u00a0 After all, a smart crook is a lot more dangerous as a partner than a stupid one.\u00a0 It wasn\u2019t likely that Joe would bite the hand that fed him.\u00a0 But how exactly does he get to be the President?<\/p>\n
I think that the likeliest explanation is that it was an accident.\u00a0 It was just the luck of the die.\u00a0 Everything happened the way it did in an election year that the Democrats weren\u2019t supposed to win.\u00a0 And the pack of losers that Joe was up against were just so hopeless that his status as a former vice president meant they had to give it to him.\u00a0 Of course, I think it\u2019s assumed that the powers that be in the Democrat Party figured that since Joe is as bought and paid for as any man can be that even with his obvious deficiencies, they could still make his first term work for them.<\/p>\n
But are things so far along the road toward banana republic that the people running the show don\u2019t even have to pretend that the figurehead has a functional brain?\u00a0 No one thinks that Biden writes his own speeches but he can\u2019t even read his own speeches.\u00a0 And the Biden administration has altogether dropped the pretense that this is a free country.\u00a0 If parents complain about their school boards, the Attorney General of the United States publicly sets the FBI on them and declares them terrorists.\u00a0 Think for a minute just how crazy that is.\u00a0 What\u2019s next, will snipers pick off the people chanting, \u201cF*** Joe Biden\u201d at a Virginia Tech football game?<\/p>\n
So, what\u2019s my point?\u00a0 I guess I\u2019m saying that we\u2019ve crossed some kind of line.\u00a0 Both sides are now aware that we\u2019ve gone beyond what was an acceptable level of partisan arrogance.\u00a0 This is now akin to what went on in Chicago when Al Capone owned the police and the mayor\u2019s office.\u00a0 Law enforcement corruption allows political enemies, even up to the President of the United States to be harassed and his cabinet members prosecuted for imaginary crimes.\u00a0 Joe Biden was given the presidency as a payoff for his decades of service as a bought man.\u00a0 He will mouth whatever they ask and he will do whatever they order him to do.<\/p>\n
And the longer this goes on and the more extreme the behavior the more certain that it will require at some point, a complete break with representative government.\u00a0 In order to ensure against an extreme reaction to the takeover it will be necessary to tighten control over everyone outside of the oligarchy to an extreme degree.\u00a0 To do that will require something akin to the totalitarian methods that were seen in Soviet Russia or East Germany.\u00a0 And in retrospect, we\u2019re really not that far from that point now.<\/p>\n
But let me get back to the original point of this post.\u00a0 It\u2019s the insult being added to the injury.\u00a0 Making Joe Biden president is an insult that is hard to overstate.\u00a0 It could be argued that if they had made an orangutan or a chimpanzee president it wouldn\u2019t have been that much worse.\u00a0 In fact, apes are relatively personable, at least if they\u2019re behind unbreakable glass and can\u2019t fling their feces at you.\u00a0 And speaking of which, how much longer will Joe be trusted not to do that?<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
