{"id":17268,"date":"2022-01-06T15:16:19","date_gmt":"2022-01-06T20:16:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/orionscoldfire.com\/?p=17268"},"modified":"2022-01-06T15:16:19","modified_gmt":"2022-01-06T20:16:19","slug":"january-sixth-a-day-that-will-live-in-insignificance","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/orionscoldfire.com\/index.php\/2022\/01\/06\/january-sixth-a-day-that-will-live-in-insignificance\/","title":{"rendered":"January Sixth, A Day that Will Live in Insignificance"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I counted about twelve articles about \u201cthe insurrection\u201d at Real Clear Politics.\u00a0 As is their policy, half were by Leftist loons and half by our side (at least nominally).\u00a0 As expected, the lefties are in full hyperventilation mode.<\/p>\n<p>Phrases included:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Domestic terror attack<\/li>\n<li>On par with 9\/11 and Pearl Harbor Attack<\/li>\n<li>A threat to \u201cour democracy\u201d<\/li>\n<li>Truly gnarly<\/li>\n<li>Not cool<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Those last two were by Bernie Bros who had been huffing lighter fluid earlier in the day and wandered over to where I was typing.<\/p>\n<p>Be that as it may, I don\u2019t think the American people for the most part care even a little bit that this is the anniversary of the day that bison man claimed control over the United States of America.\u00a0 They seemed more interested in the fact that after two years of COVID torture we\u2019re still looking at Biden\u2019s stupid face covered by a ridiculous rag.\u00a0 And they are especially interested in why food and gasoline prices have skyrocketed.\u00a0 And some of them are interested in why the cities they live in are infested with bands of roving marauders who apparently have full immunity from arrest by the now toothless police force.<\/p>\n<p>I think it\u2019s interesting that the mainstream media has rendered itself completely untrustworthy.\u00a0 At this point they could be giving away free cash and no one would bother to read what they have to say.\u00a0 In addition, idiots like Adam Schiff and AOC have drifted so far from reality that only the MSNBC crowd bother listening to them rant.\u00a0 And even these rabid partisans seemed strangely apathetic.<\/p>\n<p>We may have reached a point where all anyone can think of is, \u201cHow many days left until Brandon leaves the White House?\u201d\u00a0 Sure, the Dems in the House will go through this charade.\u00a0 They may even decide to impeach Donald Trump again.\u00a0 After all it\u2019s been almost a year since they impeached him last time and that is a long time.<\/p>\n<p>But for me there\u2019s nothing very important in the news at the moment.\u00a0 Tomorrow I think the Supreme Court is supposed to take up the issue of whether the vaccine mandates on large businesses are constitutional.\u00a0 Now that is important.\u00a0 Could it be possible that the Supreme Court will break free of oligarchic control and do their job honestly?\u00a0 It seems unlikely but it\u2019s at least remotely possible.\u00a0 I hardly want to dare hope for such a thing.\u00a0 But I confess I\u2019m excited about the prospect.\u00a0 If the corporate mandate gets overturned then what about the other mandates?\u00a0 Why should anyone be forced to be vaccinated against his will?\u00a0 How can any of that be constitutional?\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0A return of sanity in this instance and at this particular moment might be a sort of tipping point in the long night of madness that is COVID.\u00a0 It might just be enough to make Dementia Joe throw in the towel and go back to hiding in the White House basement.\u00a0 That would be a wonderful late Christmas present for the whole country.<\/p>\n<p>So then, maybe January Sixth isn\u2019t the important date.\u00a0 Maybe it\u2019ll be January Seventh.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I counted about twelve articles about \u201cthe insurrection\u201d at Real Clear Politics.\u00a0 As is their policy, half were by Leftist loons and half by our<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_mi_skip_tracking":false,"_exactmetrics_sitenote_active":false,"_exactmetrics_sitenote_note":"","_exactmetrics_sitenote_category":0,"footnotes":""},"categories":[5],"tags":[2372,3327],"class_list":["post-17268","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-current-events","tag-covid-19","tag-january-6th-protest-setup"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v20.4 -
