{"id":1780,"date":"2017-11-14T23:07:11","date_gmt":"2017-11-15T04:07:11","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/orionscoldfire.com\/?p=1780"},"modified":"2017-11-14T23:13:43","modified_gmt":"2017-11-15T04:13:43","slug":"black-rifle-coffee-company","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/orionscoldfire.com\/index.php\/2017\/11\/14\/black-rifle-coffee-company\/","title":{"rendered":"Black Rifle Coffee Company"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I followed a link on <a href=\"http:\/\/voxday.blogspot.com\/2017\/11\/problem-or-opportunity.html\">Vox&#8217;s page<\/a>\u00a0and read\u00a0an <a href=\"http:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/tech\/2017\/11\/14\/welcome-to-the-corporate-culture-wars\/\">article at Breitbart<\/a> about Keurig dropping their advertising from Hannity because of his interview with Judge Moore from Alabama and it mentioned a coffee company run by veterans called <a href=\"https:\/\/www.blackriflecoffee.com\/\">Black Rifle Coffee Company<\/a>.\u00a0 One of their mottos is \u201cMake Coffee Great Again\u201d so you can guess which side of the fence they\u2019re on.<\/p>\n<p>Well, that got me thinking.\u00a0 Currently I drink Pete\u2019s Coffee and they\u2019re a West Coast company and I\u2019d bet my last doubloon that they\u2019re as left wing as The NY Times.\u00a0 I thought, why don\u2019t I put my money where my mouth is?\u00a0 So, I\u2019ve joined Black Rifle\u2019s coffee club.\u00a0 Now this is a big move.\u00a0 I drink a whole lot of coffee.\u00a0 Camera Girl cold brews a quart of coffee every morning and then sends that with me the next morning in a thermos (hot of course).\u00a0 This thermos keeps me alive and producing engineering at an industrial scale.\u00a0 If my coffee fails me it might cause a rift in the space\/time continuum serious enough to destroy all life as we know it or at least get me fired for falling asleep at my desk.\u00a0 But I want to do my part for the cause.\u00a0 I have now sworn off lefty coffee for life.\u00a0 Add that to the NFL, The Simpsons, almost all Hollywood movies and television shows and the Dixie Chicks (actually that one was easy, they suck).\u00a0 Let\u2019s just call this my first foray into virtue signaling.\u00a0 Actually, now I see why they do it.\u00a0 It\u2019s fun sticking your thumb in the eye of The Man (well girly man anyway).<\/p>\n<p>I really think it\u2019s time for someone to start putting together a comprehensive list of conservative alternatives to lefty products and services (and companies that invariably cave to lefty pressure).\u00a0 I\u2019d love to pass along cash to right wing folks who make stuff that I need to buy anyway.\u00a0 Something like an Amazon Associates program for right wing stuff would be fantastic.\u00a0 But of course, without the Bezos bias thrown in. If any of you folks have any suggestions for conservative alternatives for everyday (or special) commerce items please share them here.\u00a0 It\u2019ll take years to put a dent into the Google\/Amazon\/Facebook military industrial complex but as the Chinese say a journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.\u00a0 Well, at least I think that\u2019s what they\u2019re saying, some of the r\u2019s and l\u2019s might have been dropped and I was crunching the crunchy noodles so I might have misunderstood.\u00a0 Actually I think what he said was \u201cplease pay the bill and get out right away because we have a party of 24 and need to combine this table with a lot of other tables to form one big table.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Well wish me luck.\u00a0 This is serious business.\u00a0 Without good coffee my existence would be a hollow mockery of living.\u00a0 I would wander aimlessly from my desk to the cafeteria staring at the carafes of pencil shaving infused battery acid that they call coffee there and wondering how I managed to pass right through the gates of hell without noticing the inscription.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Since my readers don&#8217;t always stop by every day I figured I&#8217;d paste this poll on each post for a while to see what folks call themselves.\u00a0 This is the post the poll came from\u00a0\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/orionscoldfire.com\/index.php\/2017\/11\/08\/who-are-we\/\">Who Are We?<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>&#8230; And that got me thinking.
