OCF Update &#8211; Weather Weirdness Continues"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/orionscoldfire.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/DSC01887-scaled.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-10211\" src=\"https:\/\/orionscoldfire.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/DSC01887-scaled.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"2560\" height=\"1707\" srcset=\"https:\/\/orionscoldfire.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/DSC01887-scaled.jpg 2560w, https:\/\/orionscoldfire.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/DSC01887-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/orionscoldfire.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/DSC01887-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/orionscoldfire.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/DSC01887-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/orionscoldfire.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/DSC01887-1536x1024.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/orionscoldfire.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/DSC01887-2048x1365.jpg 2048w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 2560px) 100vw, 2560px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>We go from having a couple of feet of snow on the ground to nothing.\u00a0 In the last three days we&#8217;ve had sixty mile an hour wind, heavy rain, sixty five degree temperatures, five degree temperatures and now snow.\u00a0 All we need is frogs falling from the sky to complete the list.\u00a0 Ah, whatever.\u00a0 Camera Girl brought home some Chinese food for lunch after her sojourn to the empty but expensive grocery stores.\u00a0 And I never look gift chop suey in the mouth.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ve gotten so used to high winds that I didn&#8217;t do anything in preparation and, sure enough, disaster struck.\u00a0 Well, not disaster.\u00a0 My barbecue grill blew off the deck and got busted up a bit.\u00a0 It&#8217;ll need some straightening up but it should still get the job done.\u00a0 Oh well.<\/p>\n<p>So, February 19th, almost the end of the month!\u00a0 Sure, March is still winter where I live but the days are getting longer and you start getting that itch to look for signs of spring.\u00a0 Crocuses, daffodils, tulips.\u00a0 None of those are anywhere near appearing.\u00a0 But other things are happening.\u00a0 New birds are starting to appear.\u00a0 The turkeys have been on the move and the pond has thawed completely.\u00a0 Soon frogs and salamanders will be heading for vernal ponds to breed.<\/p>\n<p>So, even as the snow whips by my window I am thinking of grass and flowers.\u00a0 And without the stupid mask nonsense spring and summer will be the free time they ae supposed to be.\u00a0 Barbecues and soon even opening the swimming pool and the grandkids coming over to swim and even a baseball catch.\u00a0 All really good things.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/orionscoldfire.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/Hyacinth-focus-stack-scaled.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-10237\" src=\"https:\/\/orionscoldfire.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/Hyacinth-focus-stack-scaled.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"2560\" height=\"1501\" srcset=\"https:\/\/orionscoldfire.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/Hyacinth-focus-stack-scaled.jpg 2560w, https:\/\/orionscoldfire.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/Hyacinth-focus-stack-300x176.jpg 300w, https:\/\/orionscoldfire.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/Hyacinth-focus-stack-1024x601.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/orionscoldfire.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/Hyacinth-focus-stack-768x450.jpg 768w, https:\/\/orionscoldfire.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/Hyacinth-focus-stack-1536x901.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/orionscoldfire.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/Hyacinth-focus-stack-2048x1201.jpg 2048w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 2560px) 100vw, 2560px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;
