America has lost its way.\u00a0 Those under forty are dispirited and directionless.\u00a0 The older people are confused and frightened.\u00a0\u00a0 Only the fanatics of the Left are energized.\u00a0 And their only impulse is to destroy what is normal.<\/p>\n
William Butler Yeats in his poem, \u201cThe Second Coming\u201d characterized the problem of modernity thus:<\/p>\n
\u201cTurning and turning in the widening gyre<\/strong><\/p>\n The falcon cannot hear the falconer;<\/strong><\/p>\n Things fall apart; the centre cannot hold;<\/strong><\/p>\n Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world,<\/strong><\/p>\n The blood-dimmed tide is loosed, and everywhere<\/strong><\/p>\n The ceremony of innocence is drowned;<\/strong><\/p>\n The best lack all conviction, while the worst<\/strong><\/p>\n Are full of passionate intensity \u2026\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n I think what he is saying is that we\u2019ve lost our way utterly.\u00a0 Those running our civilization have disconnected from what is essential to human life.\u00a0 They\u2019ve cut away the roots that nourished our culture and our people.\u00a0 And maybe they\u2019ve done it purposefully.\u00a0 Maybe they think they should get rid of most of us.\u00a0 Or maybe they want to end humanity altogether including themselves.\u00a0 I\u2019m not sure which.<\/p>\n It may be that the western world and America in particular will needs a revival.\u00a0 It has happened several times in America\u2019s history that a religious revival has swept across large areas of the country to restore purpose and energy to the communities here.\u00a0 It might coincide with a financial crisis or a war.\u00a0 Usually religious leaders would declare a \u201ccrusade\u201d to attack a spiritual problem like alcoholism or gambling.<\/p>\n I don\u2019t know if there are any religious leaders in the mainline churches who aren\u2019t already coopted by the Left.\u00a0 I guess it could be anyone coming from any background.\u00a0 Maybe it won\u2019t even be a religious man.\u00a0 But it will have to be someone who can speak eloquently and to the point.\u00a0 That man must preach against the Left in all its various forms.<\/p>\n What is needed is someone who can confidently and convincingly attack the Left and all it stands for.\u00a0 He will need to provide a coherent and comprehensive plan to reestablish Western Civilization as it flourished a hundred years ago.\u00a0 He will have to be a Moses to lead the people back into the promised land.\u00a0 He will have to cast down the golden calf and provide the people with the commandments they need to restore order to their lives.\u00a0 What does that metaphor equate to in our current world?\u00a0 So many things.\u00a0 Probably the most fundamental commandment will be return to living in functional families.\u00a0 And that means abandoning the feminist model of working women who produce one child sometime in their late thirties or early forties.\u00a0 It means stay at home moms who raise their children themselves.\u00a0 And men who work to support those families.\u00a0 And spend the rest of their time at home with their wives and children and in their communities.\u00a0 That is the central theme of a revival.<\/p>\n Next, the schools need to be reformed.\u00a0 All the leftist propaganda must be stripped away from kindergarten to graduate school.\u00a0 All of the intersectional studies programs must be eliminated.\u00a0 No good ever came from Women\u2019s Studies or Queer Studies or Africana Studies.\u00a0 Ever.\u00a0 Schools must return to their original purpose; vocational training.\u00a0 Whether it\u2019s advanced physics or carpentry teaching a valid skill as a means to making a living is what we pay colleges to teach our children.\u00a0 If they don\u2019t accomplish that then shut them down.<\/p>\n And last but not least we have to reform our federal government.\u00a0 And this is the most difficult reform of all.\u00a0 The managerial state has become our master.\u00a0 It dictates to us how we must live in excruciating detail; what we must do and what is forbidden.\u00a0 The prophet we need must have laws to reform the government and cast out the masters who have made us slaves.<\/p>\n That is what we need; someone of gigantic stature to reform our society.\u00a0 It\u2019s an almost impossible task.\u00a0 But if no one appears we are surely doomed.\u00a0 We will sink into serfdom and even our elites will be pushed aside by abler cultures that maintained their understanding of what makes a healthy culture.\u00a0 Where is our Moses?<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" America has lost its way.\u00a0 Those under forty are dispirited and directionless.\u00a0 The older people are confused and frightened.\u00a0\u00a0 Only the fanatics of the Left<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_mi_skip_tracking":false,"_exactmetrics_sitenote_active":false,"_exactmetrics_sitenote_note":"","_exactmetrics_sitenote_category":0,"footnotes":""},"categories":[5,2860],"tags":[3574,2827],"class_list":["post-17935","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-current-events","category-reclaiming-the-family","tag-cultural-revival","tag-leadership"],"yoast_head":"\n
