Robert Graves is probably best known today for his historical novel \u201cI, Claudius.\u201d\u00a0 He was a British officer in World War I and after enduring the horrors of trench warfare he became completely disillusioned with patriotism and in fact British civilization in general.\u00a0 As a declaration of this rejection, he wrote an autobiography called \u201cGoodbye to All That.\u201d<\/p>\n
By this he implied that he rejected the social structure that had defined British society before the war.\u00a0 To him that whole way of life, that way of looking at the world, and what it stood for had been invalidated and rendered absurd.<\/p>\n
In a way, the Left is saying a similar thing.\u00a0 They\u2019ve rejected the basis of traditional American life.\u00a0 But they\u2019ve done more than that.\u00a0 They\u2019ve rejected the basis of all traditional human life.\u00a0 They no longer recognize things as fundamental as the difference between a man and a woman.\u00a0 They deny the objectivity of science and even mathematics.\u00a0 They reject meritocratic principles.\u00a0 Essentially, they desire to reject reality and order the world according to some fantasy that they have concocted in their heads but that doesn\u2019t seem to have any permanent rules.\u00a0 So, the Left has said goodbye to all that.<\/p>\n
But by the same token it is necessary for us to say something similar.\u00a0 The concept of the United States of America as a cohesive, unified nation has now been invalidated and rendered absurd.\u00a0 America is a geographical and political entity that contains multiple, and in some cases, hostile segments of the population that no longer see each other as countrymen.<\/p>\n
Worse than that, the Left uses the patriotism they no longer believe in to bamboozle traditional Americans into sacrificing their self-interest when it benefits the Left.\u00a0 So, we\u2019re \u201cfellow Americans\u201d when the Left wants us to fight a war or share the wealth with underprivileged minorities.\u00a0 But when it\u2019s time to celebrate anything of ours, well, that\u2019s just white supremacy.<\/p>\n
It\u2019s time for us to say goodbye to the idea that everyone living in the United States of America is an American.\u00a0 It\u2019s simply not true.\u00a0 Worse than that, acting as if it were true is counterproductive and sometimes even dangerous.\u00a0 We\u2019re going to have to start separating from the Left in important ways.\u00a0 We\u2019ll need to send our children to different schools.\u00a0 The public schools will be too dangerous.\u00a0 And because of the discrimination that\u2019s already apparent in woke corporations we\u2019ll need our own businesses.\u00a0 So, we\u2019ll need to be able to identify each other in order to hire our people for these companies.\u00a0 How we\u2019ll do that is something I\u2019m not sure of.\u00a0 Probably recommendations will be the best way to know someone is one of us.<\/p>\n
But the first step and the most important step is to start distinguishing in your own head between the different kinds of people living in the United States and do everything in your power to maximize your dealings with real Americans and minimize your dealings with Leftists.\u00a0 I\u2019ll admit this was a hard realization for me.\u00a0 I\u2019ve always been a flag waving patriot.\u00a0 But I know now that the Left has destroyed many organizations and institutions like the public schools.\u00a0 We don\u2019t have the luxury of thinking that these are our institutions.\u00a0 They\u2019re not.\u00a0 We just can\u2019t assume that everyone believes what we believe and is our friend.\u00a0 We have to stick together and boycott the rest of them.<\/p>\n
Maybe someday things will go back to normal and we\u2019ll all be one country again.\u00a0 It\u2019s possible though doubtful.\u00a0 But for the foreseeable future it\u2019ll have to be, goodbye to all that.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
