Lately, it\u2019s almost as if every instinct and conscious decision that the Biden Administration exercises comes back to produce a rolling disaster that then must be explained as a random act of chance.\u00a0 Nothing is ever Joe\u2019s fault.\u00a0 Think about it.\u00a0 Something as basic as baby formula is unavailable in the supposed center of the global empire.\u00a0 The fact that that doesn\u2019t set off warning bells shows us just how feckless these people are.\u00a0 Working women are both one of the Democrats core constituencies and also the group of mothers least likely to breast feed their infants for any extended time.\u00a0 Panicking that group into thinking that their babies might starve is an unforced error of monumental stupidity.<\/p>\n
And that is just the emergency du jour.\u00a0 Tomorrow it might be organ theft gangs harvesting eyes and the day after that peanut butter shortages.\u00a0 In essence it\u2019s just comprehensive incompetence across the whole administration.\u00a0 But that phenomenon has to be traced back to the source.\u00a0 I\u2019ll have to give Obama credit for telling us not to underestimate Biden\u2019s ability to screw things up.<\/p>\n
People say that the five stages of grief are denial, anger, bargaining, depression and acceptance.\u00a0 I think I have detected these stages in news coverage of the Biden Administration.\u00a0 The Left is grieving for the loss of Joe FDR Biden\u2019s New Deal Moment, the Great Reset, the Build Back Better Rip-Off.\u00a0 If you think back to last year I remember when prices started to rise and the headlines were full of denial.\u00a0 Do you remember how they claimed that the Fourth of July cookout was something like $1.47 cheaper than the year before?\u00a0 And then there was the meme about inflation being temporary.<\/p>\n
Let\u2019s see what we have for anger.\u00a0 Maybe that\u2019s when everybody on the Left was getting mad about \u201cLet\u2019s Go Brandon.\u201d\u00a0 And I guess all that talk about a \u201cWinter of Death for the Unvaccinated.\u201d\u00a0 That was pretty angry.<\/p>\n
Lately I\u2019m seeing a lot of bargaining in the articles.\u00a0 A lot of it is in the vein of \u201cIf the Democrats do this and this and if somehow these other things happen, maybe the midterms won\u2019t be so bad.\u00a0 The latest is \u201cIf the Russian people overthrow Putin, then gasoline prices will come down.\u201d<\/p>\n
And just today I think I caught a good strong whiff of stage four, depression.\u00a0 These have centered around the Supreme Court overturning Roe v. Wade.\u00a0 Even the anger at the Right on this issue can\u2019t disguise the depression that exists on the Left over this defeat.\u00a0 But I\u2019m looking forward to a good bit more depression in the weeks and months ahead.<\/p>\n
Looking ahead I\u2019m contemplating what a Politico headline will look like when they\u2019ve reached the acceptance stage.\u00a0 And when will that happen.\u00a0 Maybe it will coincide with the day after Election Day.\u00a0 Would it feature a Banner headline reading \u201cLet\u2019s Go Brandon\u201d?\u00a0 Or maybe it will skip the euphemism and read \u201cF*** Joe Biden\u201d instead.\u00a0 Personally, for the sake of decorum the former will do for me.<\/p>\n
