Biden on Thursday blamed gas prices for the nation\u2019s economic pessimism, saying before prices started rising, \u201cThings were much more, they were much more optimistic.\u201d<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\u2026<\/strong><\/p>\nAfter more than two years of the COVID-19 pandemic, Biden said the American people are \u201creally, really down.\u201d He emphasized that the need for mental health in America \u201chas skyrocketed because people have seen everything upset.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\u2026<\/strong><\/p>\n\u201cBe confident, because I am confident we\u2019re better positioned than any country in the world to own the second quarter of the 21st century,\u201d Biden said. \u201cThat\u2019s not hyperbole, that\u2019s a fact.\u201d<\/strong>\u201d<\/p>\nSo, there you have it.\u00a0 All we have to do is wait two and a half years and everything will be alright.\u00a0 It\u2019s our own damn fault if we let little things like not being able to afford rent, gas or food interfere with the glorious splendor of the Bidencrash.<\/p>\n
But interestingly, I think he\u2019s gotten the chronology right.\u00a0 In 2025 Biden will be carted off to the funny farm and hopefully the new Republican president can start repairing the wreckage that will be what\u2019s left of America by then.\u00a0 It raises interesting questions.\u00a0 Will the renewal be like past occasions where presidents like Reagan or Trump came in and through laws and executive orders push the country back on the right track?\u00a0 Or will things be so bad by then that some kind of Marshall Plan will be needed just to keep us from starving to death?<\/p>\n
One thing that I think will make sense is to make a push for something like a constitutional amendment to give the president unchallenged authority to rein in the executive branch agencies that have usurped the rights of not only the President but also the People.\u00a0 We need the president to be able to fire anyone and everyone who exceeds the authority they have and that needs to be categorically under the president\u2019s purview.\u00a0 The Congress has the responsibility to monitor the President through its impeachment function.\u00a0 The FBI and the Justice Department aren\u2019t the Praetorian Guard selling the emperor\u2019s throne to the highest bidder.<\/p>\n
Anyway, that\u2019s my rant for this post.\u00a0 But let\u2019s get back to Joe\u2019s new sunny, optimistic take on America\u2019s meltdown under his policies.\u00a0 We\u2019re to blame for letting little problems like runaway inflation and the breakdown of the consumer products supply chain upset us.\u00a0 After all, if we don\u2019t like it here, we could go to Russia or China where prosperity has dried up and repressive governments monitor everything you say and do and will take away your job and throw you in prison and then put you in front of a kangaroo court for a show trial.<\/p>\n
