With Monday fast approaching I\u2019m falling behind on my preparations.\u00a0 I\u2019ve got to make a checklist and check it twice and find out what I don\u2019t have and what I can fit in my luggage for the great trek to Yellowstone.\u00a0 Based on the information I\u2019ve gleaned from the Kevin Costner television show. What I\u2019ll need is a horse, several guns, a homicidal sidekick, a federal law enforcement elected office, a highly dysfunctional family and a one hundred-thousand-acre cattle ranch.\u00a0 With these assets I\u2019ll be able to correctly experience Yellowstone.<\/p>\n

But really, I\u2019ve got a bunch of things I have to do in the next couple of days.\u00a0 Stuff that won\u2019t get done for a week and a half like cutting the grass and adjusting the pH on the pool.\u00a0 And I\u2019ve got to pack my photo equipment and clothes and stuff.\u00a0 I\u2019ve got to take out a life insurance policy with a double indemnity clause that covers being eaten by a grizzly bear.<\/p>\n

Because of all this activity I expect posting will be reduced.\u00a0 And for the length of the trip, July 11th<\/sup> through the 20th<\/sup>, I expect I\u2019ll barely be able to get online.\u00a0 I hope to load up some photos from the trip but even that may be difficult and intermittent.\u00a0 So, bear with me for the present.\u00a0 And when I return, I\u2019ll be a real American hero like Teddy Roosevelt or Kevin Costner and I\u2019ll dispense two-fisted justice to any dog faced pony soldier who stands against the big sky country philosophy that will saturate me after my return.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
