Scene 1: Bridge of the Aircraft Carrier USS Ronald Reagan positioned off shore from Washington DC.\u00a0 Thursday 8AM EST.\u00a0 In attendance Admiral Harmon (AH), officers and crew of the USSRR, President Trump (PT), Secretary Mattis (SM), Elon Musk (EM), General Adam Baldwin (GAD), Al Gore (AG), Hillary Clinton (HC), Barack Obama (BO)<\/strong><\/p>\n

PT \u2013 Okay Steve, we\u2019ve got everyone here we\u2019ll need.\u00a0 Start the exposition.<\/p>\n

SM \u2013 Mr. President, we\u2019ll start with an update by General Baldwin on the current status of the ships above our cities.\u00a0 Then Mr. Musk will review the status of his team\u2019s scientific results.\u00a0 Finally, former President Obama will speak as representative for the \u201cResistance,\u201d whatever that means.<\/p>\n

PT \u2013 Okay General, what can you tell us?<\/p>\n

GAD \u2013 Mr. President, Gentlemen and Madame Secretary\u2026 (interrupted by Hillary)<\/p>\n

HC \u2013 Stop right there you militaristic sexist Neanderthal.\u00a0 It\u2019s not Madame Secretary anymore it\u2019s Mix Secretary.\u00a0 Join the 21st<\/sup> century you deplorable despicable \u2026 (Trump interrupts)<\/p>\n

PT \u2013 General, wait a second.\u00a0 Admiral, have two seamen escort Hillary off the bridge and throw her over the side.<\/p>\n

AH \u2013 Literally?<\/p>\n

SM \u2013 Better hurry Harmon or you\u2019ll be next.<\/p>\n

AH \u2013 Yes, sir.<\/p>\n

HC \u2013 You can\u2019t do this!\u00a0 I should be President!\u00a0 I had more popular vote!\u00a0 He\u2019s not qualified!\u00a0 He\u2019s not the future, he\u2019s the past\u2026 (voice receding into the distance as she\u2019s dragged away).<\/p>\n

PT \u2013 Barack, Al, any problems?<\/p>\n

BO \u2013 She\u2019s not who we are.<\/p>\n

PT \u2013 Good.\u00a0 Baldwin, continue.<\/p>\n

GAD \u2013 As of this morning 0945 hours EST the three ships located over the continental United States have moved into position over New York City, Washington D.C. and Los Angeles.\u00a0 Based on the decaying signal currently bouncing through our satellites we believe they will deploy their primary offensive weapons at 1200 hours EST.\u00a0 Some cruise missile tests we performed earlier confirm that these ships are completely protected by a force field that protects them from all projectile weapons such as conventional explosives.\u00a0 Unfortunately, we have also determined that this shield is effective against energy weapons such as lasers or even nuclear devices.\u00a0 Essentially, nothing in the American military arsenal will have any effect on these ships.\u00a0 The best we can do is hide our weapons assets to delay their destruction by the small fighter ships housed in the main vessels when they are unleashed.<\/p>\n

PT \u2013 Sucks to be us.\u00a0 Any comments?<\/p>\n

AG \u2013 Mr. President, I suggest we send a negotiation team to the local ship here over D.C. and hammer out a deal to avert this looming catastrophe.\u00a0 And because we are ideally suited to see all sides of a problem, that is why myself, President Obama, I mean former President Obama and Madame Secretary Clinton, I mean the assumed late Mix Secretary Clinton joined this meeting.\u00a0 We feel that our well-known empathy for aliens of all sort will allow us to prevent this crisis from ending in bloodshed or the shedding of whatever vital fluid our extragalactic visitors possess.<\/p>\n

PT \u2013 Wow, that\u2019s a lot of corrections.\u00a0 Does Gore speak for you on this Barry?<\/p>\n

BO \u2013 I prefer to be addressed as Nobel Peace Prize Winning Light Worker Barack Hussein Obama, Donald.<\/p>\n

PT \u2013 I\u2019ll bet you do but you didn\u2019t answer the question.<\/p>\n

BO \u2013 Maybe not how I would have said it but essentially.<\/p>\n

PT \u2013 Good, I want you two to contact the aliens and see what you can do before we let the bright boys loose on them.<\/p>\n

AG \u2013 You aren\u2019t going with us?<\/p>\n

PT \u2013 Do I look crazy?\u00a0 Look no one is forcing you to go there.\u00a0 If I were you, I\u2019d see if you can negotiate at a distance but if you enter that ship you only have until noon to broker some kind of truce.\u00a0 After that we\u2019re going to war.<\/p>\n

BO \u2013 Don\u2019t worry we\u2019ll be finished well before that point.<\/p>\n

PT \u2013 Good.\u00a0 General Baldwin, have your flight crew outfit our ambassadors with flight suits and prepare them for their mission.<\/p>\n

GAD \u2013 Yes sir.\u00a0 This way gentlemen.\u00a0 (Gore and Obama exit the bridge).<\/p>\n

PT \u2013 Good.\u00a0 Now that those two yahoos are out of earshot Musk, fill us in on what you\u2019ve cooked up.<\/p>\n

EM \u2013 Mr. President, my team has worked out the physics behind the shield device and we\u2019ve developed a counter measure.<\/p>\n

PT \u2013 You mean you can turn it off to allow us to attack?<\/p>\n

EM \u2013 No.\u00a0 Let me give you the specifics.\u00a0 The shield works by absorbing the energy of anything that impinges on the ship being protected.\u00a0 During the time the energy is being absorbed, the impacted area is opaque to the shield sensors.\u00a0 The ship cannot detect a second attack occurring there for at least ten seconds.\u00a0 During this time the shield is still immune to energy weapons even nukes because it\u2019s still able to absorb energy but it is vulnerable to projectile weapons to the extent that material can reach the hull.\u00a0 Now the hull is incredibly strong. \u00a0It\u2019s literally 100 feet thick and made of hardened alloy, basically proof to projectiles of any type we could muster.\u00a0 But if within that ten second we can hit this opaque spot with a projectile composed of tantalum we will form a coated spot on the hull that will block the action of the shield in that area.\u00a0 We assume that after the initial energy has been absorbed the shield sensors will spot the dead spot on the hull and repair systems will scrape the tantalum away rather quickly.\u00a0 We approximate the time to remove the tantalum as fifteen minutes.\u00a0 But during that time, we have a spot on the hull that will succumb to a nuclear blast.\u00a0 So, the sequence needed is:<\/p>\n
