Good morning.\u00a0 The sun is shining the cold has set in and everything is in motion for the Thanksgiving holiday.\u00a0 And everyone has his part to play.\u00a0 Even I, the laziest man in Christendom, have chores and errands and must play my part.\u00a0 Wonderful.<\/p>\n

We fulfill these parts even as the edifice of western civilization degrades and crumbles all around us.\u00a0 And I say, okay!\u00a0 No more whining, no more railing against the corruption and greed that fuels the destruction.<\/p>\n

Play into the storm.\u00a0 Look for the advantage.\u00a0 Protect you and yours.\u00a0 Intelligence and reason are real.\u00a0 Even if the world pretends they don’t exist, they do. Teach your children that the hot stove burns and poison kills and a loaded gun isn’t pointed at a friend.<\/p>\n

There are plenty of things to do.\u00a0 Ferret out the things that have value and hold onto them.\u00a0 Find the good people and show them your value.\u00a0 Don’t waste your time on nonsense.<\/p>\n

Do something to make things better every day.\u00a0 It doesn’t matter if it’s insignificant.\u00a0 Make each day count in some way.\u00a0 Even if it’s something you have to do anyway.\u00a0 In your mind find a positive aspect and accomplish it.<\/p>\n

Don’t lose touch with your people.\u00a0 Reach out to them even if they’re far away.\u00a0 In our all-encompassing communication infrastructure, there’s never an excuse for losing touch with the people that mean something to you.\u00a0 Take a moment and say something meaningful to one of them as often as you can.<\/p>\n

There’s no need or room for despair.\u00a0 What’s needed is work.\u00a0 Find something meaningful to do and DO IT!<\/p>\n

The Republicans are useless and evil.\u00a0 the Democrats are in charge of everything and satanic.\u00a0 How is that different from 99.9% of recorded history.\u00a0 Maybe we had Camelot in this country for a couple of hundred years and now it’s over.\u00a0 Suck it up.\u00a0 Move on.<\/p>\n

Keep your eyes open for something better that comes along.\u00a0 Don’t give up on politics but don’t expect the good guys to come over the hill and restore us to the 1950s or even the 1980s.\u00a0 That’s highly unlikely.\u00a0 Settle for someone doing something that makes things a little less horrible.<\/p>\n

Believe in yourself and believe in common sense and believe in the good that you can do for your family and friends.\u00a0 There is good and evil and there is right and wrong.\u00a0 Use the brains that God gave you to figure out the difference and make the hard decisions.<\/p>\n

And keep your eyes open in case there comes a point where you need to jump out of the way of anything really, really bad.\u00a0 That’s the one that worries me.\u00a0 But worrying doesn’t accomplish anything so keep that in the back of your mind and do all of the rest of it today and tomorrow and the day after that.<\/p>\n

And that day after that is Thanksgiving!\u00a0 So, get on with it and there’ll be turkey and stuffing and pumpkin pie waiting for you on Thursday.\u00a0 That’s good enough to keep me going.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
