And just like that it\u2019s over.\u00a0 All of Camera Girl\u2019s hard work has been expended and all the splendiferous foods have been eaten and all the children have gotten their gifts.\u00a0 And we wake up on Monday morning and groan from the food we consumed and begin to straighten up the kitchen and the house and cart away the imperial ton of wrapping paper and boxes and put away the good china (of which one plate didn\u2019t survive the exercise, requiescat in pace) and shake out the table cloths for the birds before they go in the washing machine (the tablecloths not the birds).<\/p>\n

And we talk about all the moments we had with the kids and the grandkids.\u00a0 And they are remarkable things these moments.\u00a0 And we agree that it doesn\u2019t get any better than this.\u00a0 Spending time with the people you love and being relaxed and happy doing it is the pinnacle of life.\u00a0 All of the hard work that went into the meal was repaid with interest by seeing the guests enjoy it.\u00a0 Watching the young children playing together and sitting with the older children and talking about their lives and interests is the culmination of decades of work and is enormously gratifying to a parent and grandparent.<\/p>\n

I was having a conversation with one of my sons-in-law.\u00a0 We were talking about the uncertainty of conditions in the world for regular people and he said some things that told me he understands what\u2019s important.\u00a0 He said the only certain thing in the economy is that if you have a skill that people need, you\u2019ll be able to survive.\u00a0 And I said that\u2019s true and I added, \u201cNo one is looking out for us anymore.\u00a0 We have to depend on ourselves and each other.\u201d\u00a0 And he agreed.<\/p>\n

And afterwards I thought about what I had said off-hand.\u00a0 It\u2019s true.\u00a0 The government has abandoned us.\u00a0 We\u2019re looking out for each other or no one is.\u00a0 If something happens to one of your family you may be the only thing between him and homelessness and death.\u00a0 The government can\u2019t be bothered.\u00a0 The Canadian government, always ahead of us on the edge of progressivism, now uses the idea of assisted suicide for any situation where people feel abandoned by society<\/a>.\u00a0 If you can\u2019t get help with a health problem, they\u2019ll suggest, \u201cWhy not end it all with our convenient and economical assisted suicide kit.\u201d\u00a0 It comes with a YouTube video and on-line instructions to make sure everything goes smoothly.<\/p>\n

I\u2019m sure soon they\u2019ll add it to all government FAQ pages as an option to all life\u2019s difficulties.\u00a0 Can\u2019t get that rental house this summer?\u00a0 Then end it all.\u00a0 Can\u2019t find that bargain on eBay you wanted?\u00a0 Why not off yourself?\u00a0 It\u2019s fun and practical.\u00a0 You won\u2019t need to skimp on anything.\u00a0 Just have a big weekend at a resort, run up an enormous hotel tab and then finish it off with an overdose of fentanyl.\u00a0 Quick, painless and easy.<\/p>\n

Well, excuse me if I don\u2019t run for the exits.\u00a0 Life is extremely precious.\u00a0 Our overlords are working overtime to encourage people to give up.\u00a0 Don\u2019t get married, don\u2019t have children, don\u2019t buy a house, don\u2019t work hard, just drop dead.<\/p>\n

Well, too bad.\u00a0 I won\u2019t take the hint.\u00a0 They\u2019ve stopped pretending they\u2019re our fellow countrymen.\u00a0 The globalists say we\u2019re all just one big world.\u00a0 And it\u2019s a world that has too many people in it.\u00a0 Fine then.\u00a0 We\u2019re nothing to them and they\u2019re nothing to us.\u00a0 Less than nothing.\u00a0 They\u2019re our avowed enemies.<\/p>\n

Let\u2019s remember that and act accordingly.\u00a0 We only have each other.\u00a0 But the help of people that actually care about you is more valuable than anything else that you\u2019ll find in this fake world of woke propaganda.\u00a0 Recalibrate what you can and can\u2019t depend on and decide what is worthwhile to do and what is a waste of precious time.\u00a0 And you\u2019ll be surprised how much less bleak things will appear.\u00a0 Just find people you like and work together to make a little world around you that includes the things in life that actually matter.\u00a0 That\u2019s my thought on this day after Christmas.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
