Some of my friends are panicking about Trump and the bump stock executive order. They feel betrayed and think the \u201cend in near.\u201d\u00a0 I told them to calm down, take a deep breath and look away from the news for a couple of days.\u00a0 Here is my logic.\u00a0 School shootings panic women.\u00a0 Women turn on a dime against gun rights.\u00a0 The midterms are coming around.\u00a0 So that accounts for President Trump demonizing bump stocks.\u00a0 He needs something to say he\u2019s \u201cdoing something.\u201d\u00a0 He\u2019s placating the idiots.\u00a0 Do I like this? No.\u00a0 Am I wringing my hands and banging my head against the wall and denouncing the President?\u00a0 No.\u00a0 I trust that he will cut the best deal we can get.\u00a0 He\u2019s the right man for the job.\u00a0 I wouldn\u2019t want any of the usual suspects getting involved (McCain, Rubio, Romney).\u00a0 I don\u2019t even prefer that a Second Amendment hard-liner take the lead.\u00a0 Trump\u2019s the man for the job.\u00a0 Hopefully he can get the damage control done as quickly as possible and move onto his agenda.<\/p>\n

After a year in office my motto is \u201cLet Trump be Trump.\u201d He\u2019s got better skills and instincts than anyone else.\u00a0 How would we do better than to let him do his thing.\u00a0 I feel my best action is to spread the gospel.\u00a0 I try to calm the nervous.\u00a0 And believe me I understand.\u00a0 We\u2019ve been betrayed by the weak and the wobbly and the wolf in sheep\u2019s clothing.\u00a0 It takes courage to trust.\u00a0 But I think I\u2019ve seen enough from this man to give him some space.\u00a0 As Ann Coulter said \u201cIn Trump We Trust.\u201d\u00a0 It\u2019s remarkable to see how few of our politicians know anything about human nature.\u00a0 Politics in a democracy is a combination of salesmanship and coalition building.\u00a0 Sounds like the place for a deal maker.<\/p>\n
