So today I have the sixteen year old grandson here.\u00a0 Now I have to up my game.\u00a0 Sixteen is an island and nobody from off of that island can crack the code.\u00a0 Will I have to play video games?\u00a0 Do I have the reflexes do I have the brain cells left?\u00a0 We’ll see.<\/p>\n
Needless to say some part of the day will be a black out period on the site.\u00a0 But I also expect the day to be shorter.\u00a0 No one can expect to keep a sixteen year old’s attention except with other sixteen year olds.\u00a0 But I’ll do my best.<\/p>\n
Sixteen.\u00a0 A fraught age.\u00a0 At that age nothing I did involved coherent thought.\u00a0 So many stupid people.\u00a0 So many stupid ideas.\u00a0 Just surviving the age was a minor miracle.\u00a0 But that was a more forgiving age.\u00a0 Social media did not exist.\u00a0 All our sins and stupidities, for the most part, faded into nothingness.\u00a0 Today they’ll nail you on a cross for anything or nothing.<\/p>\n
But it’ll be good.\u00a0 The torch is being passed.\u00a0 With the abandonment of the European Americans by the federal government it behooves all of us to marshal our resources to boost our children and grandchildren out of the wreckage of the middle class and give them a fighting chance.\u00a0 And just letting them know they’ve got a family that cares whether they live or die is a part of that.<\/p>\n
So today will be interesting.\u00a0 Hopefully we’ll shoot some pool, watch some bad super hero movies, eat some junk food and who knows maybe even talk.<\/p>\n
