I was having a discussion with a younger family member.\u00a0 Someone of my children\u2019s generation.\u00a0 And we were talking about how children need to be brought up at this point.\u00a0 Now this guy is a very impressive individual.\u00a0 He actually embodies all the of the characteristics that people make believe they have when they describe themselves in their resumes.<\/p>\n
What he says he\u2019s doing with his sons is making them ready to survive in a very bad economic environment.\u00a0 He\u2019s a strong believer in the, \u201cHard times leads to hard men leads to easy times leads to soft men leads to hard times\u201d theory.\u00a0 He wants his sons prepared to face adversity because he is of the opinion we haven\u2019t even begun to see the bottom.\u00a0 And I think he\u2019s right.\u00a0 Even in the challenging environment we are experiencing we haven\u2019t seen anything like what\u2019s to come.\u00a0 The powers that be are working to pull the supports out from what used to be the American way of life.<\/p>\n
The \u201cgreat contraction\u201d seems to be the plan to produce a step change in the number of people in the world.\u00a0 I\u2019m guessing they\u2019d like to go from billions of people down to hundreds or maybe even just tens of millions.\u00a0 And the way to get there is to remove the ability of average people to be gainfully employed and able to raise a family.\u00a0 Essentially, they only want their class to continue forward.\u00a0 And I think they\u2019re succeeding.\u00a0 Young people no longer believe it is possible to provide a middle-class existence for themselves, never mind for a family.<\/p>\n
A family-based strategy seems to be the only way to overcome the reduction in opportunities and resources that is going on.\u00a0 If kids can\u2019t afford a house, then they\u2019ll have to be housed by their families with their wives and kids in the family home.\u00a0 Building an addition or trading in the family home for a multi-family building will once again become the way to allow the kids to afford family life.<\/p>\n
Now, to some people this seems unacceptable.\u00a0 Well, then maybe seeing your family end with your kids unmarried and without children of their own is the acceptable solution.\u00a0 That\u2019s a personal choice.\u00a0 I guess if you are exceptionally wealthy you can buy them houses.\u00a0 But then you probably already belong to the class that is supposed to emerge from the contraction; the elite.<\/p>\n
For everyone else, surviving the new normal will involve tightening our belts and working twice as hard for half as much.\u00a0 And maybe this is something that really has to happen.\u00a0 Maybe the elites really are right and the good times are permanently over.\u00a0 Personally, I don\u2019t believe that.\u00a0 Human ingenuity is an enormously powerful force.\u00a0 Technological solutions exist for all of the \u201cend of affluence\u201d factors; energy limits, Malthusian population predictions, climate change panic.\u00a0 I think that hard times are not a permanent situation for us today.\u00a0 Rather I think a mindset by the global elites fosters the idea that Gaia needs our grandchildren to be sacrificed on the altar of depopulation.<\/p>\n
I think we are headed for hard times.\u00a0 Regardless of who wins the election in 2024, prepare to do what you can to help your loved ones to make it in very hard times.\u00a0 It\u2019s on the way.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
