I watched the Stephanopoulos interview.\u00a0 Compared to how that midget would have grilled a Republican this was a lovefest.\u00a0 But as carefully and as politely as he could couch the questions, he still tried to get Biden to admit that the public thinks he\u2019s senile.\u00a0 And because they believe this the polls are showing his support slipping.<\/p>\n
But Biden would have none of it.\u00a0 According to Joe the race is dead even.\u00a0 He\u2019s on track to beat Trump and he\u2019s never been sharper.\u00a0 He\u2019s trotting the globe defeating tyrants, expanding democracy and swashbuckling his way into history.\u00a0 And only the Almighty can tell him to quit.<\/p>\n
I\u2019m not a fan of Stephanopoulos.\u00a0 I think he\u2019s a detestable partisan rat pretending to be an objective journalist.\u00a0 But it was painful to see how completely unwilling Biden was to admit to any problems at all.\u00a0 His handling of the country.\u00a0 The public\u2019s perception of his mental state.\u00a0 Or in his present position in the electoral polls.\u00a0 In Joe\u2019s eyes he\u2019s the best man to run the country and the only man who can prevent Donald Trump from regaining the presidency.<\/p>\n
I\u2019m of two minds about this.\u00a0 The part of me that witnessed the 2020 election results thinks that Joe knows the fix is in and he knows they can print out another million ballots in Philadelphia, Milwaukee and Detroit so everything is honkey-dory.\u00a0 But the part of me that looks at the state of the country and can\u2019t believe that even the Deep State wants this to continue, thinks that Joe is going to be carted off to the Cracker Factory in January 2025.<\/p>\n
But either way it\u2019s fascinating to see Joe Biden on display in all his deteriorating splendor.\u00a0 His porcelain teeth shining bright in a mouth that can no longer produce clear English.\u00a0 Near the end of the interview when, \u201cStephanopoulos asked the president bluntly how he would feel in January if Donald Trump ended up winning the election and his warnings about Trump and democracy came to pass. Biden replied: “I\u2019ll feel as long as I gave it my all and I did the goodest<\/strong> job as I know I can do, that\u2019s what this is about\u2026.\u201d\u201d<\/p>\n Well, when your kids are two or three years old, goodest<\/strong> is a reasonable thing to say.\u00a0 It shows a mind finding patterns in the formation of superlatives in English.\u00a0 Past five I\u2019d say it indicates a problem.\u00a0 When used by a man running for the office of president of the United States, I\u2019d say it\u2019s a flashing red light.\u00a0 He\u2019s becoming a doofus.<\/p>\n To sum up the whole experience of watching the interview, it appears that the Left can\u2019t get Joe Biden to jump off his campaign wagon.\u00a0 And as things continue to unwind for his prospects, I have to admit I\u2019m feeling a certain unbridled enthusiasm beginning to well up.\u00a0 Sure, I know that anything can happen in the next four months.\u00a0 And I know that absentee ballots can be printed at an incredible speed.<\/p>\n But even a \u201cwin\u201d by Joe Biden at this point will be therapeutic.\u00a0 How many people will be satisfied if the polls have Biden down by double digit in the swing states and he scratches out a win by a few thousand votes a week later?\u00a0 I\u2019m guessing almost no one.\u00a0 And that would put to rest the myth of fair elections once and for all.\u00a0 And to my mind that would be an acceptable conclusion to the whole populist experiment.\u00a0 We\u2019d know that dissent is forbidden.\u00a0 And we could all give up the farce of voting every four years and do something useful instead.<\/p>\n But just imagine if Trump wins.\u00a0 There would be a party that would go on for a week.\u00a0 People would be dancing in the street and YouTube videos of Democrat voters wailing and gnashing their teeth would be playing on endless loops until the whole internet finally crashed.\u00a0 Joe Scarborough and Rachel Maddow would have to be committed to lunatic asylums for electroshock therapy for a month just to stop them from screaming.<\/p>\n And I wouldn\u2019t be able to stop smiling for a month.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" I watched the Stephanopoulos interview.\u00a0 Compared to how that midget would have grilled a Republican this was a lovefest.\u00a0 But as carefully and as politely<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_mi_skip_tracking":false,"_exactmetrics_sitenote_active":false,"_exactmetrics_sitenote_note":"","_exactmetrics_sitenote_category":0,"footnotes":""},"categories":[5],"tags":[3344,1484,4602],"class_list":["post-29607","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-current-events","tag-2024-elections","tag-election-fraud","tag-the-biden-trump-debates"],"yoast_head":"\n
