2024 Summer Movie Talk \u2013 Part 2<\/p>\n

Comedy<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

I\u2019ll list what I think are among the best or the most popular or the most interesting comedy movies in approximately chronological order.\u00a0 I\u2019ve reviewed a number of these movies so if you want my detailed opinion, you can do a search on the site.<\/p>\n

    Now this is just my list.\u00a0 Your list will be different.\u00a0 It has to be.\u00a0 More than any other genre comedy is incredibly personal and therefore subjective.\u00a0 It is also age specific.\u00a0 My children would list twenty movies from 2000 to the present day that I haven\u2019t seen nor would want to watch.\u00a0 I have tried to leave out comedies that I consider marginal that happen to overlap with my most active movie watching era.\u00a0 So, I haven\u2019t included \u201cThe Blues Brothers,\u201d \u201cCaddyshack.\u201d \u201cStripes,\u201d \u201cAnimal House,\u201d \u201cMeatballs,\u201d \u201cNational Lampoon: Vacation,\u201d \u201cTrading Places\u201d and a bunch of other movies from my heyday.\u00a0 I put Ghostbusters in as the best representative for that era.\u00a0 Someone else would have chosen otherwise.<\/p>\n

    I hope my list will inspire a million spirited comments.\u00a0 Everyone has their favorites and their turkeys.\u00a0 Unlike politics we can all have our opinions on comedy movies without fear of doing any damage.\u00a0 Have at it.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
