All of us have to do a myriad of things to keep the plates spinning.\u00a0 Hopefully 95% of this stuff goes right.\u00a0 But 5% goes wrong and we need to clean up the mess and take our lumps and move on.\u00a0 And while all of this is going on in the foreground, in the background evil lunatics are working ceaselessly to put an end to the America that provides the space in which we can hustle along to give our families the slightest taste of the good life.\u00a0 We can have a week\u2019s vacation at the beach.\u00a0 We send our kids to the best college we can afford.\u00a0 We own a home in a town where gangbangers don\u2019t hunt down our kids in the streets.<\/p>\n
So, this week we witness the Democrat party melting down because they can\u2019t force their brain-dead figurehead to leave the presidential race.\u00a0 And when that sideshow act gets stale, they try to eliminate his competition the old-fashioned way, with a \u201clone wolf\u201d spotted an eight-shot head start at point blank range by the secret service.\u00a0 And of course, once they fail, the Left declares it time to lower the temperature.\u00a0 At least for today.<\/p>\n
Today, Donald Trump picked J D Vance as his running mate.\u00a0 Of the favorites listed I guess he\u2019s probably the best choice.\u00a0 The kabuki theater that is the Republican Convention will drone on until, I think Thursday when Trump gives his acceptance speech.\u00a0 From what he\u2019s said Trump has had a revelation.\u00a0 Being spared death has convinced him that his message will be that he wants to unite the country.\u00a0 Well, I don\u2019t know how that can happen.\u00a0 I think almost half the country wanted the shooter to succeed.\u00a0 I mean, it\u2019s admirable to want to unite America but I don\u2019t think it\u2019s one country anymore.\u00a0 It\u2019s not even two countries that tolerate each other.\u00a0 It\u2019s diametrically opposed enemies looking to get a permanent advantage in order to conquer the other.<\/p>\n
So, while we struggle to keep the balls in the air, out of the corner of our eye we see this absurd pantomime that claims it\u2019s \u201cour democracy.\u201d\u00a0 Today they kept Morning Shmoe of the air.\u00a0 He and his demented bride couldn\u2019t be trusted not to start calling for Donald Trump\u2019s blood on the day that Joe Biden was \u201cbrining down the temperature\u201d by postponing the release of campaign commercials that probably feature Trump dressed up as Hitler.\u00a0 Of course, Scarborough is hardly the only or even the most unhinged of the left-wing pundits.\u00a0 Over the last couple of weeks Joy Reid at times has appeared to be close to an epileptic fit.\u00a0 I have to assume if they\u2019re allowing her on the air, she must be dosed with Thorazine or something stronger.<\/p>\n
Well, as we slouch toward Election Day we are sure to see a lot of crazy things.\u00a0 Will any of them be worse than the last couple of weeks?\u00a0 I\u2019d like to say no but I\u2019d be a fool to do it.\u00a0 If Biden\u2019s numbers slip much lower, I wouldn\u2019t be surprised by any crazy thing, up to and including a nuclear attack.\u00a0 Joe Biden is demented and the people who pull his strings are various types of maniacs.\u00a0 I want to believe that behind the scenes there are a few sane individuals that can keep the crazy people in check.\u00a0 But I\u2019m far from convinced of that.<\/p>\n
