I\u2019ve reached the halfway point in my marathon of horror and boredom.\u00a0 And honestly, boredom is the deadlier poison.\u00a0 That must be why prison is so horrible.\u00a0 It\u2019s the boredom.\u00a0 Being forced to do nothing for years on end doesn\u2019t sound like the worst thing that can be done to you.\u00a0 And it\u2019s not, but it\u2019s bad enough.<\/p>\n
There is magic in being at the half-way point.\u00a0 From then on, it\u2019s downhill.\u00a0 Unfortunately, the last day is like a double portion, so counting hours it\u2019s really not halfway, but the calendar is a more powerful measuring stick.\u00a0 By early Wednesday morning the horror will be over.\u00a0 And so, heading home tonight I had a jaunty smile on my lips and a song in my heart.<\/p>\n
When I got home, I looked at the news and it was the same old, same old.\u00a0 Kamala, Tim, Russia, Ukraine, Trump, Vance, Coke and Pepsi.\u00a0 \u00a1Ay, Chihuahua!\u00a0 Honestly, we\u2019ve got to give this stuff a break.\u00a0 Let the hacks working for the campaigns flood the airwaves with whatever memes they can generate.\u00a0 After all they\u2019re getting paid for it.\u00a0 We need something better.<\/p>\n
