{"id":31005,"date":"2024-10-23T05:00:16","date_gmt":"2024-10-23T09:00:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/orionscoldfire.com\/?p=31005"},"modified":"2024-10-22T22:31:36","modified_gmt":"2024-10-23T02:31:36","slug":"could-trump-win","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/orionscoldfire.com\/index.php\/2024\/10\/23\/could-trump-win\/","title":{"rendered":"Could Trump Win?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Election Fraud in 2020 changed my outlook on American elections.\u00a0 What I saw happen that November convinced me that outright theft of the presidency is completely within the scope of the Democratic Party\u2019s purview.\u00a0 Suffice it to say that I am highly skeptical of Trump\u2019s chances in this election.\u00a0 I assumed they are low; less than 25%.<\/p>\n<p>But then I watched this:<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"In Swing State Nevada, the Democrats\u2019 Clark County Firewall \u201cHas All But Collapsed\u201d: This is \u201cHuge\u201d\" width=\"783\" height=\"440\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/Hfxcw8Oa6ks?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>2WAY is a creation of Mark Halperin who was a talking head on one of the networks, I think ABC.\u00a0 Sean Spicer was one of Trump\u2019s first press secretaries.\u00a0 Dan Turrentine is a \u201cDemocratic strategist.\u201d\u00a0 I\u2019ve never heard of him.\u00a0 Anyway, Halperin hosts these zoom calls with various Democrat and Republican talking heads and a bunch of everyday people who come on to give their two cents but without any screaming or name-calling.\u00a0 More or less Halperin attempts to be an honest broker who allows both sides to talk about the election without too much spin.<\/p>\n<p>For the last week or two, Halperin has been saying that the inside polls and the early voting data is increasingly good for Donald Trump and bad for Harris.\u00a0 In this short video both Spicer and Turrentine seem to be agreeing with him.\u00a0 Now, I hate to get my hopes up because that is a dangerous thing to do, but it\u2019s getting harder to resist.\u00a0 Well, I\u2019m \u201call growed up now\u201d so I guess I shouldn\u2019t be scared of working through what\u2019s going on in the real world.<\/p>\n<p>With two weeks left before election day it\u2019s still too early to get too excited about this \u201ctrend.\u201d\u00a0 I think this Friday would be a good place to evaluate where the race and the indicators stand.\u00a0 What Spicer thought was that if the Democratic campaign thinks things are going south, they will immediately start attacking Trump with anything and everything they\u2019ve got.\u00a0 Well, that\u2019s interesting.\u00a0 I\u2019m not sure where you can go after you\u2019ve already called him a despotic, demented, unbalanced danger to the republic.\u00a0 I guess Harris can approve a commercial where a picture of Trump morphs into Adolph Hitler or Darth Vader.\u00a0 But I\u2019m interested to see if something like that does surface on my local television station.\u00a0 Of course, this being New England, that would be preaching to the choir and an awful waste of money.\u00a0 But perhaps Pennsylvania and Michigan might be bombarded with such stuff.<\/p>\n<p>Look, I\u2019m skeptical as hell.\u00a0 I\u2019ve been burned before and don\u2019t enjoy getting my hopes up.\u00a0 But I have to confess that with the fallout from the Biden administration looking like a list of biblical plagues not seen since the time of Moses, it\u2019s hard not to believe that the American voters would rise up and demand the end of the Democrats\u2019 reign.\u00a0 So, let\u2019s just say that I\u2019m more than a little interested in the increasingly worried statements coming from the Harris campaign behind the scenes.\u00a0 I\u2019ll review things on Friday and maybe I\u2019ll have more to say at that time.\u00a0 Now that\u2019s cautious and bland enough.\u00a0 Isn\u2019t it?<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Election Fraud in 2020 changed my outlook on American elections.\u00a0 What I saw happen that November convinced me that outright theft of the presidency<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_mi_skip_tracking":false,"_exactmetrics_sitenote_active":false,"_exactmetrics_sitenote_note":"","_exactmetrics_sitenote_category":0,"footnotes":""},"categories":[5,6],"tags":[3344,1484,16],"class_list":["post-31005","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-current-events","category-trump","tag-2024-elections","tag-election-fraud","tag-trump"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v20.4 -
