I intended to review \u201cSleepy Hollow\u201d tonight for \u201cOctober Viewing.\u201d\u00a0 But I haven\u2019t seen it since it was in the theaters many years ago and it was too late tonight to watch it because I have work Monday.\u00a0 So, I have to come up with something else to talk about.<\/p>\n
Alright, let\u2019s see.<\/p>\n
So, the snipers didn\u2019t get Trump at Madison Square Garden.\u00a0 That\u2019s good!\u00a0 Because in a little more than a week we\u2019ll get to do the Election Day charade.\u00a0 Maybe they\u2019ll let him win or maybe they won\u2019t.\u00a0 I\u2019m beginning to think they will let him win because they think they can make him the fall guy.\u00a0 It wouldn\u2019t be so hard.\u00a0 The economy is in tatters.\u00a0 It\u2019ll take months to even begin to clear the wreckage they\u2019ve already made of things.\u00a0 But I\u2019ll confess, I\u2019m curious to see if Trump really has a plan to fix the economy and also fix the Deep State.\u00a0 And when I say \u201cfix\u201d the Deep State, I mean it in the same sense that you send your dog to be \u201cfixed\u201d by the vet.<\/p>\n
After all, these people have been after him for more than eight years.\u00a0 Maybe he\u2019s just crazy enough to come back at them with both guns blazing.\u00a0 Now that would be delicious.\u00a0 Taking away their prestigious and lucrative perches in the intelligence agencies and State Department would be a very good start to hitting back at them.\u00a0 My only hope is that this time he\u2019s ready to appoint men who are loyal to him but also have the smarts needed to dismantle the government bureaus that need demolishing.\u00a0 I\u2019m not sure he is ready to do this but I\u2019d like to find out.<\/p>\n
So, we\u2019ve got another week or so to fantasize about what he could do if he wins.\u00a0 If he loses, he\u2019s going to jail.\u00a0 They\u2019ll take away his money and they\u2019ll put him in prison for the rest of his life.\u00a0 And the rest of the world will see our country for what it is; just another thugocracy.\u00a0 But one where the thugs go to Harvard, or at least Yale.\u00a0 And that will be a \u201cteachable moment\u201d as that \u201cfraud from Chicago\u201d used to say.\u00a0 Anyone who grew up in the middle class will understand that the fairy tale they used to tell us about America is just that; a grifter\u2019s tale that helps them fleece the rubes.<\/p>\n
But what we are seeing is that America was special because we thought it was special.\u00a0 If we no longer believe in that exceptionalism then quite honestly it won\u2019t be.\u00a0 People were willing to cooperate to build a better world for their children.\u00a0 But if they\u2019ve revealed that they don\u2019t even want us to have children then all bets are off.\u00a0 Instead of cooperation they\u2019ll find competition.\u00a0 Competition to loot whatever is left of the patrimony that prior generations built up.\u00a0 We\u2019ll be looking for our piece of the pie.<\/p>\n
And don\u2019t even imagine that these people will send their sons to fight in someone else\u2019s wars.\u00a0 That\u2019s just ridiculous.\u00a0 The trust fund kids told us back in 2001 that it wasn\u2019t their job to fight George W. bush\u2019s wars.\u00a0 Well, it\u2019s time for us to return the favor.\u00a0 Send the Venezuelan gang-bangers to fight in Ukraine or wherever else you want to start a war.\u00a0 It won\u2019t be our kids.\u00a0 We have better things for them to do.<\/p>\n
