Tonight, I asked Camera Girl what she thought I should write my post about.\u00a0 She said I should write about the fact that Donald Trump doesn\u2019t have a pet dog.\u00a0 I countered, \u201cBut he doesn\u2019t like dogs.\u201d\u00a0 She said that was weak and that if he got a dog, he\u2019d be much more likely to succeed as president.\u00a0 Well, what can I say?\u00a0 She\u2019s got me there.\u00a0 Of course, exactly what kind of dog would be compatible with Donald Trump seems like a very complicated question.\u00a0 Well, he\u2019s kind of tall.\u00a0 Maybe a Great Dane.\u00a0 I explained to her that it\u2019s sort of a moot question because Trump\u2019s not going to change his mind at this point in his life.\u00a0 Well, she rejected this explanation and stood by the idea that this situation spelled disaster for his presidency.\u00a0 Oh well, agree to disagree.<\/p>\n
Yesterday I sent a proposal for my unfinished novel to Ark Press to see if they are interested in this soon to be blockbuster story.\u00a0 It\u2019s almost twenty-four hours since I hit the send button on the e-mail and I\u2019ve heard nothing.\u00a0 As you can imagine, I\u2019m crushed and dejected by the interminable delay.\u00a0 I now question my optimism and see all of life as a hollow husk of what my hopes and dreams were.\u00a0 I was planning on tying a lead weight to my ankle and tossing it into the pond thus ending it all.\u00a0 But I realized the water depth is currently about three feet so it could take a long while to perish.\u00a0 I need a better plan.<\/p>\n
Plan B is to start a new career.\u00a0 Currently the top contender is bare-knuckle-boxer.\u00a0 My plan is to begin an intensive physical conditioning program.\u00a0 I\u2019ll start with road work and then add on a raw egg diet and finally I\u2019ll find a good manager someone named Mick or Apollo or something like that.\u00a0 I figure if I play my cards right, I\u2019ll be ready for a title fight sometime in 2026 which being the 250th<\/sup> birthday of the United States will be sorta like what happened for Rocky Balboa only without the turtles named Bert and Ernie.\u00a0 I told Camera Girl about my plan and she punched me in the stomach really hard.\u00a0 It was sort of a foul.\u00a0 I wasn\u2019t expecting it after all.\u00a0 But it really has affected my confidence.\u00a0 I complained that, \u201cAdrian never punched Rocky or did anything to discourage him from becoming the boxing champion of the world and aren\u2019t you ashamed of yourself?\u201d\u00a0 She countered that Adrain was a doofus and Rocky was too short to be an effective boxer.\u00a0 I reminded her that we saw the movie back in 1976 and she never said anything about those things back then.\u00a0 She replied that she was still attempting to trap me into matrimony at that point so she let it ride for then.\u00a0 But she claimed that she always thought Adrian was a doofus.\u00a0 And as her final point she opined that boxers need very strong neck muscles and I have a bad neck.\u00a0 Her point was that modern boxers hit so hard that my head would fly off my body after one punch and that would be gross.\u00a0 Well, that was food for thought.<\/p>\n So, I guess I need a Plan C.\u00a0 I haven\u2019t really worked out all the details but maybe, possibly, I\u2019m going to go pro in pickle ball.\u00a0 I\u2019ve heard good things.\u00a0 But I haven\u2019t bounced it off her yet.\u00a0 Wish me luck.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Tonight, I asked Camera Girl what she thought I should write my post about.\u00a0 She said I should write about the fact that Donald Trump<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_mi_skip_tracking":false,"_exactmetrics_sitenote_active":false,"_exactmetrics_sitenote_note":"","_exactmetrics_sitenote_category":0,"footnotes":""},"categories":[5,3366,1289,6],"tags":[300,76,16],"class_list":["post-32502","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-current-events","category-life-in-dunwich","category-fiction-by-me","category-trump","tag-camera-girl","tag-fiction-writing","tag-trump"],"yoast_head":"\n
