What\u2019s to say today?\u00a0 I guess the most interesting news event is Musk\u2019s Space-X stepped in and brought the astronauts stranded on the International Space Station home after Boeing stranded them there six months ago.<\/p>\n
There\u2019s something ironic in this situation.\u00a0 Boeing has been in the news for the last year because of defective aircraft that many have associated with DEI based hiring practices.\u00a0 And now Space-X; an Elon Musk company that prides itself on merit-based hiring, steps in and solves a frightening situation with a can-do approach to space flight.\u00a0 It\u2019s like watching the two approaches to hiring compared face to face before our eyes.<\/p>\n
I guess the other big story is that lousy judge trying to block the deportation of Central American gang-bangers by the Trump administration.\u00a0 Afterward Trump said he should be impeached.\u00a0 And so Chief Justice Roberts opens his big mouth and says that precedent doesn\u2019t call for impeachment on a difference of opinion on a judge\u2019s ruling.<\/p>\n
As if that were what is going on.\u00a0 These slimy leftist judges will stall and block everything the Trump administration wants to get done for the American people.\u00a0 We will see this for the next four years.\u00a0 If Roberts wants to be at all useful, he should expedite all requests by Trump\u2019s administration to have these phony judges\u2019 decisions reviewed by the Supreme Court and allow Trump to fix all these problems.\u00a0 Of course, impeachment will never solve the problem.\u00a0 We would need a supermajority in the Congress.\u00a0 What we need is the Supreme Court to provide constitutional review of these awful decisions.<\/p>\n
Today I finally got a handle on the impasse I\u2019ve been wrestling with in finishing my book.\u00a0 What I need is a good crisis\/resolution to reach the endpoint.\u00a0 So here is a situation where you know where you want to end up but there needs to be a struggle to make it feel satisfying.\u00a0 But I don\u2019t need another physical battle.\u00a0 I need a popular revolt.\u00a0 And I think I\u2019ve figured out an angle.\u00a0 I think I\u2019ll withdraw the consent of the governed.\u00a0 I\u2019ll have a national guard unit revolt and then let it cascade across a state and then across the country.\u00a0 Now I have to figure out the dramatic details.\u00a0 I\u2019ll have the national guard unit refuse to hand over my protagonist then when the Army wants to send in regulars, I\u2019ll have the governors of the four states where Connors people are located close ranks with all of their national guard troops to deny the arrest.\u00a0 And then I\u2019ll let it swell from there.\u00a0 That seems pretty good.\u00a0 After that I\u2019ll let the newly appointed president convene a Constitutional Convention to begin cleaning up the mess that the Deep State has caused.\u00a0 And that will give me a nice breakpoint to allow my protagonist to be pardoned by the president.\u00a0 And more than pardoned, exonerated.\u00a0 And then I can allow him to ride off into the sunset which is something I\u2019ve been thinking about for a while.<\/p>\n
So that\u2019s what I was doing today.\u00a0 Thursday will be a long day when I\u2019ll be working on stuff I hate.\u00a0 But that\u2019s life.\u00a0 I have one of the grandsons coming over Saturday.\u00a0 That should be fun.\u00a0 Apparently, he\u2019s voted for spaghetti and meatballs and mint chocolate chip ice cream.\u00a0 So, I\u2019d better do some extra time on the rowing machine this week.\u00a0 But maybe I\u2019ll burn some of that off with a baseball catch.\u00a0 I hope my shoulder is still functional after a winter of chopping ice.\u00a0 I wonder what movie he wants to watch?\u00a0 I hope it\u2019s \u201cThe Return of the King.\u201d\u00a0 I haven\u2019t seen that one in a while.\u00a0 I think the \u201cRide of the Rohirrim\u201d is about due.<\/p>\n
