{"id":3384,"date":"2018-06-26T14:45:59","date_gmt":"2018-06-26T18:45:59","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/orionscoldfire.com\/?p=3384"},"modified":"2018-06-26T14:45:59","modified_gmt":"2018-06-26T18:45:59","slug":"good-things-come-to-those-that-fight","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/orionscoldfire.com\/index.php\/2018\/06\/26\/good-things-come-to-those-that-fight\/","title":{"rendered":"Good Things Come To Those That Fight"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A friend of mine at work who follows President Trump on Twitter alerted me that SCOTUS had struck down the Lower Court ruling against the Muslim Travel Ban.\u00a0 <a href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/3a20abe305bd4c989116f82bf535393b\/Court-upholds-Trump-travel-ban,-rejects-discrimination-claim\">https:\/\/apnews.com\/3a20abe305bd4c989116f82bf535393b\/Court-upholds-Trump-travel-ban,-rejects-discrimination-claim<\/a><\/p>\n<p>My immediate thought was, finally!\u00a0 And that is the beauty of Donald Trump, he\u2019s indefatigable. \u00a0They attack and delay and obfuscate and he just keeps coming back to his purpose.\u00a0 And this must be the first man with a backbone and a work ethic to inhabit the White House since the 1980s.\u00a0 Hallelujah!\u00a0 So Gorsuch continues to pay off and in a few days we\u2019ll see whether we also have to wait for Kennedy to go away.\u00a0 He has been moderating his extreme left-wing social biases in the last couple of decisions but I\u2019d feel a lot better if he were about to call it a career.\u00a0 And what a relief it is to have someone who understands politics and how to sell a plan and how to strong arm the mindless boobs that make up the majority of the Republican Congressional Delegation.\u00a0 Since the President\u2019s poll numbers have continued to rise the spineless congress critters have begun to take heart and maybe even start acting like the dominant party that their numbers represent.\u00a0 Of course it\u2019s too much to ask for them to understand what their own constituencies are shouting to them from the rooftops, \u201cStop the Illegals!, Build the Wall!\u201d\u00a0 That would be beyond their barely reptilian brains.\u00a0 But maybe they can be taught to trust their party\u2019s leader once he has shown them what winning looks like.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>But I digress.\u00a0 My point is that with someone running the ship, someone who <strong><u>isn\u2019t<\/u><\/strong> a feckless dilettante without any concern for the people he\u2019s supposed to be leading, actual progress on the right wing agenda can be made and, in fact, quite rapidly.\u00a0 You just have to keep up the pressure and keep fighting back.\u00a0 And I predict that once some real damage gets done to their agenda, the leftists will start to deflate and even the media will begin to lose heart.\u00a0 These are not strong people, they are herd creatures and once they get stampeded it\u2019ll be every roach for himself.\u00a0 And that brings me to the Mueller \u2013 Sessions situation.\u00a0 Something is going on there under the surface that must be something like an arm wrestling contest.\u00a0 On the surface there seems to be no motion, nothing going on, but what is occurring is a dynamic tension that can\u2019t last.\u00a0 I predict that President Trump is positioning his forces there to allow both sides to retreat from the field of battle without a decisive event.\u00a0 Basically there must be a mutually assured destruction in place and once both sides figure out how to retreat they will.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>So that\u2019s my read.\u00a0 Trump is banging away at this agenda of things and every once in a while he makes enough progress against the concerted forces of the media and the swamp to declare victory and plant his flag on some hard fought hill.\u00a0 And they call that bragging.\u00a0 I\u2019d call them rallying cries to the troops.\u00a0 Well done Mr. President.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A friend of mine at work who follows President Trump on Twitter alerted me that SCOTUS had struck down the Lower Court ruling against the<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_mi_skip_tracking":false,"_exactmetrics_sitenote_active":false,"_exactmetrics_sitenote_note":"","_exactmetrics_sitenote_category":0,"footnotes":""},"categories":[5,6],"tags":[26,131,16],"class_list":["post-3384","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-current-events","category-trump","tag-american-exceptionalism","tag-supreme-court","tag-trump"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v20.4 -
