Finally, a breathing space!\u00a0 I don\u2019t have to do anything for almost a week.\u00a0 I spend my time working on getting my book ready for publishing and watching Christmas movies.\u00a0 I confess that I overindulged on turkey and the fixin\u2019s around Thanksgiving and am still recovering from caloric excess.\u00a0 But after some vigorous exercise today I\u2019m back in shape for what lies ahead.\u00a0 And that looks like snow and ice removal!\u00a0 Dunwich is up to its old tricks.\u00a0 Instead of three inches of snow we\u2019ve gotten a day of rain which probably will turn into a half inch of ice tonight.\u00a0 Oh, the pain, the pain.\u00a0 Luckily neither Camera Girl nor I are compelled to leave the Compound tomorrow so I can slowly work on the driveways.\u00a0 I wish I had more tube sand but even a hundred pounds or so of it should be enough to prevent the whole thing from resembling an ice-skating rink.<\/p>\n
I noticed that the latest fake crisis is horror over cigarette boats filled with fentanyl being blasted out of the water.\u00a0 I can conceive of no better targets for the US military than narcotraficantes heading for US coastal waters.\u00a0 What clearer priority do we have than preventing these people from selling poison to our people?\u00a0 Don\u2019t they realize that Saint George of Floyd was killed by a fentanyl overdose?\u00a0 Surely that must give them pause.\u00a0 But Democrats are always looking to side with evil against us.\u00a0 They can\u2019t help it.<\/p>\n
Well, enough about that.\u00a0 Now, how about those kooky Somalis in Minnesota?\u00a0 Good old Tim Walz was handing over hundreds of millions of dollars in fake aid to the Somalis and they were sending it to terrorists in Somalia.\u00a0 Even his own state employees blew the whistle on him and even the New York Times is exposing the sordid details of his cover-up.\u00a0 Trump said that Walz is severely retarded and I think it\u2019s hard to deny it.\u00a0 Of course, this doesn\u2019t add to the reputation of Minnesotans for keeping this bozo in office.\u00a0 Now, of course it isn\u2019t everyone in the state but it\u2019s a clear majority that seems okay with government fraud as long as it goes to a constituency that will vote reliably Democrat.\u00a0 We\u2019ll have to wait and see if Trump\u2019s Justice Department can find a judge willing to honestly hold Democrat crooks accountable.\u00a0 Lately it doesn\u2019t seem to be the case.<\/p>\n
And finally, early indications are that Hollywood is throwing in the towel on woke entertainment for children.\u00a0 Disney and its peers have lost so much money on woke movies for children and young adults that they\u2019ve sworn off woke lecturing for the foreseeable future.\u00a0 For at least the next year or two they\u2019re going to try and remember what \u201cwholesome\u201d means.\u00a0 No more trans kids, girl bosses or obligatory race-swapping of traditional characters.<\/p>\n
Well, anyway, that\u2019s the plan.\u00a0 But can they do it?\u00a0 I tend to doubt it.\u00a0 I\u2019m not even sure they would know an exciting adventure story if it reached out and bit them on the butt.\u00a0 But it\u2019s hopeful that they\u2019re even trying.\u00a0 At the very least it means that a whole bunch of woke writers, directors and actors will be out of work for the next year or two.\u00a0 And that\u2019s a beautiful thing.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
