{"id":37024,"date":"2026-05-30T05:00:39","date_gmt":"2026-05-30T09:00:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/orionscoldfire.com\/?p=37024"},"modified":"2026-05-29T22:14:22","modified_gmt":"2026-05-30T02:14:22","slug":"antifa-and-the-hidden-hand","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/orionscoldfire.com\/index.php\/2026\/05\/30\/antifa-and-the-hidden-hand\/","title":{"rendered":"Antifa and the Hidden Hand"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>So, I saw this article:<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtontimes.com\/news\/2026\/may\/28\/scott-bessent-says-irs-fbi-investigation-antifa-made-substantial\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Bessent says IRS and FBI investigation into antifa has made \u2018substantial progress<\/a>\u2019<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u201cWhat to know<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent confirmed progress in the IRS-FBI antifa investigation.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>New IRS guidance will hold grant-making organizations responsible for violent recipients.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Antifa is labeled a militant anarchist organization by the Trump administration.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>The executive order cites antifa&#8217;s violent activities and attempts to overthrow the government.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>The memo and the antifa executive order targeted the tax-exempt status of foundations funding civil society groups. The memo instructed the IRS commissioner to ensure that no tax-exempt entities are directly or indirectly financing political violence or domestic terrorism.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>So, the gist of this investigation is identifying NGOs that are providing funds and other aid to antifa and use it as a reason to strip them of their tax-exempt status and then prosecute them for the aid they\u2019re providing antifa in its illegal activities.<\/p>\n<p>It sounds like a good strategy.\u00a0 Of course, the various antifa legal fronts will challenge all this in every commie-sympathizing jurisdiction (NY, CA, D.C., OR, etc.) but the Supreme Court has been very supportive of the administration\u2019s attempts to go after rogue elements of the Left so there\u2019s a good chance all this will move forward.<\/p>\n<p>Based on the assassination attempts against Trump, Charlie Kirk and that healthcare CEO, these antifa psychos are extremely dangerous and need to be defunded, rounded up and put away for a very long time.<\/p>\n<p>On an unrelated and much more positive development my Kindle Unlimited page views have continued to increase:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/orionscoldfire.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/Kindle-Unlimited-Page-Views.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-37023\" src=\"https:\/\/orionscoldfire.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/Kindle-Unlimited-Page-Views.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1054\" height=\"480\" srcset=\"https:\/\/orionscoldfire.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/Kindle-Unlimited-Page-Views.jpg 1054w, https:\/\/orionscoldfire.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/Kindle-Unlimited-Page-Views-300x137.jpg 300w, https:\/\/orionscoldfire.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/Kindle-Unlimited-Page-Views-1024x466.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/orionscoldfire.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/Kindle-Unlimited-Page-Views-768x350.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1054px) 100vw, 1054px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Tonight, has been the highest page count to date (407 pages) and that curve looks pretty encouraging (so far).\u00a0 I won\u2019t try to make too much soup with such a little bit of meat but we authors have to take our solace where we find it.\u00a0 Now, I\u2019d prefer that it was 407 million pages but we all have to start somewhere.<\/p>\n<p>Now based on my years of experience extrapolating curves based on limited data it\u2019s obvious to me that the next data point will be 800 pages followed shortly by 1,600 pages and by obvious curve fitting this will turn into an asymptote by June 7<sup>th<\/sup> at which point the number of pages will reach infinity and Amazon will have to proclaim me the new James Patterson.\u00a0 Of course I shouldn\u2019t say this quite yet.\u00a0 You never know.\u00a0 I could be wrong.\u00a0 It might take all the way until June 15<sup>th<\/sup> for all of this to reach its crescendo.\u00a0 So, I\u2019ll just bide my time and maintain a humble fa\u00e7ade.\u00a0 I\u2019ll practice my gracious acceptance speech, \u201cOh no, I\u2019m not worthy!\u00a0 I\u2019m not worthy!\u00a0 I\u2019d like to thank all the little people.\u00a0 If I\u2019ve seen farther, it\u2019s not because I\u2019ve stood on the shoulders of giants but rather, because I am a super-giant.\u00a0 And I want to cast aspersions on those who tried to hold back my reputation.\u00a0 All those who claimed I wasn\u2019t greater than their favorites; all those fanboys of Shakespeare or Tolstoy or Tolkien or whomever!\u00a0 Bah!\u00a0 Tired hacks and amateurs.\u00a0 Their memories will be swept away like chaff from the wheat in the glorious sunshine of my new day.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Or something like that.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>So, I saw this article: Bessent says IRS and FBI investigation into antifa has made \u2018substantial progress\u2019 \u201cWhat to know Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent confirmed<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_mi_skip_tracking":false,"_exactmetrics_sitenote_active":false,"_exactmetrics_sitenote_note":"","_exactmetrics_sitenote_category":0,"footnotes":""},"categories":[5,1289,1263,6],"tags":[328,1290,5205,16],"class_list":["post-37024","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-current-events","category-fiction-by-me","category-stuff-that-personally-interests-me-miscellaneous","category-trump","tag-antifa","tag-my-fiction","tag-the-sniper","tag-trump"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v20.4 -
