The Baby News Network (BNN) is a comedy channel on YouTube that features as its centerpiece Baby Trump.\u00a0 And as far as I can tell it is the solution to the plague of depression that has engulfed our times.\u00a0 It\u2019s just absurdity piled on absurdity but the smile it produces is certainly real.<\/p>\n
I noticed this about Trump back during his first campaign.\u00a0 His bluster and exaggeration are hilarious and actually endear him to the voters.\u00a0 I mean, it\u2019s obvious he\u2019s talking trash and employing P. T. Barnum tactics in almost every circumstance imaginable.\u00a0 But the fact that he is doing it against the people who hate us and, in our defense, makes it enjoyable.\u00a0 And the fact that we don\u2019t hold his trash talk against him drives his opponents crazy.\u00a0 I once had a leftist get exasperated when she pointed out he was exaggerating some accomplishment and I started laughing about the story.\u00a0 I told her that the exaggeration was what made it fun.\u00a0 She just walked away shaking her head.<\/p>\n
And this kind of humor always appealed to me.\u00a0 In fact, back during his first term I used to do some Trump humor.\u00a0 But the funny thing is the reality is usually funnier than the stuff I\u2019d make up.\u00a0 So, I watch some of the BNN whenever I see something that strikes my funny bone.\u00a0 Of course, it doesn\u2019t solve any of the real problems we have fighting against the Left day in and day out.\u00a0 But laughter is valuable.\u00a0 Enjoying something witty is helpful.\u00a0 So, I\u2019m linking these videos to help lift the mood of the people who come here to find something interesting and hopeful.<\/p>\n
