I was listening to the Z-Man\u2019s Friday morning podcast<\/a> this morning.\u00a0 It\u2019s on the Ancient Greeks and since that is something that I\u2019m more than somewhat steeped in it was quite a lot of fun to listen to.\u00a0 Lots of good comparisons between Ancient Athens and the United States.\u00a0 What was topical was at minute 56 of the podcast he mentions that broadcast that Tucker Carlson did recently.\u00a0 I linked to it a couple of days ago and said it sounded like Tucker was running for President.\u00a0 What the Z-Man said was that it sounded like Carlson was reading aloud some of the dissident right posts that he and the other writers have been putting out for six or more years.<\/p>\n

What this reminds me of is Vox Day\u2019s constant refrain that \u201cthe Alt-Right is inevitable.\u201d\u00a0 Well, I don\u2019t know if the Alt-Right or the Dissident Right\u2019s agenda is inevitable but what seems to inevitable is that a very good chunk of the American Nation is waking up to the fact that they\u2019ve been putting their faith in men who really couldn\u2019t care less if they lived or died.\u00a0 In fact, it appears they\u2019d prefer it if we just up and died as quickly as possible.\u00a0 Call it the shifting Overton window or the red-pilling of the normies or whatever you like but if a Cloud Dweller like Tucker Carlson is coming around to the nitty gritty of where we\u2019re headed then it won\u2019t be long before even the most brain-dead denizen of Squaresville, USA will be waking up to the realization that Paul Ryan and Mitt Romney do not mean them well.<\/p>\n

What I\u2019m curious about is what will be the next big step change.\u00a0 In the same way as Blue States practice civil disobedience such as Sanctuary Cities, will Red States start protecting their citizens against national policies that they object to?\u00a0 For instance, if companies like Master Card and Google continue de-platforming conservatives could state attorneys general begin legal proceedings against these companies to force them to relent?\u00a0 Maybe they\u2019ll prosecute the local universities that indoctrinate kids and strip them of their legal rights.<\/p>\n

Honestly, I don\u2019t know what\u2019s next.\u00a0 But it does appear that dissident ideas are getting mainstreamed at least to some extent.\u00a0 Reading about the Baltimore lawyer who is suing the Southern Poverty Law Center and attempting to have their tax-free status revoked for using illegal tactics to get him fired from the Baltimore City government sounds like maybe a first step to addressing the radical de-platforming.\u00a0 Hearing this week that Master Card may be joining forces with the crowd-funding companies to deny access to e-commerce to conservatives sounds like some kind of Maoist or Stalinist internal exile tactic.\u00a0 At lest in the gulag they fed you once in a while.\u00a0 In our cashless society, denial of access to a credit card is tantamount to being an exile from modern life.<\/p>\n

And this all points to the paradox of how I feel about the current situation.\u00a0 A few years ago, I didn\u2019t know just how bad it really was but I was almost in depression because I couldn\u2019t understand why we kept losing when we seemed to have the upper hand.\u00a0 Now I realize just how bad it is and that most of our \u201cleaders\u201d aren\u2019t really trying to help us and yet I\u2019m actually strangely optimistic.\u00a0 I feel like knowing the problem makes it possible for me to take some actions and improve how I live my life.<\/p>\n

Will the unrest on the right reach critical mass?\u00a0 It\u2019s hard to say but I\u2019m interested to see what Tucker Carlson ends up doing in the next year or two.\u00a0 He\u2019s a popular journalist and could do a lot to persuade people.\u00a0 Stay tuned.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
