I watched the speech just now.\u00a0 I liked my version of it<\/a> better but I\u2019ll give him a solid B.\u00a0 He painted it as a humanitarian problem and also a crime problem.\u00a0 That\u2019s good.\u00a0 He gave a litany of illegal alien crime stories.\u00a0 There were murders, rapes, beheadings, dismemberments, you name it.\u00a0 He laid the blame at the Democrats\u2019 feet for not getting the wall funded.\u00a0 And he compared the five-billion-dollar price tag to the five hundred-billion-dollar trade in illegal drugs that crosses the border every year.\u00a0 He listed the horrendous abuse that happens to migrants being trafficked across the border.\u00a0 He said that 33 percent of women migrants are raped and that many of the migrants are held as virtual slaves in the sex trade.\u00a0 I understand that Pelosi and Schumer will have a chance to rebut the speech but life is short so I skipped listening to them.\u00a0 I\u2019m sure I\u2019ll do better even if I just end up using the time to floss my teeth.<\/p>\n

I wonder if there\u2019s a chance that the Democrats will cave soon.\u00a0 If not, I hope the President has a Plan B.\u00a0 I like the idea of getting the military to build the wall.\u00a0 They did a bit of that in Iraq I remember and I\u2019m sure they could get it erected pretty quickly once they got rolling.\u00a0 I\u2019m trying to understand how long the government shutdown can go on before something critical goes wrong.\u00a0 Is the IRS considered important or not?\u00a0 Does this mean I don\u2019t have to pay my taxes?\u00a0 Or does it just mean my refund will be late.\u00a0 Well, from my point of view I don\u2019t care if the government stays shut for a couple of years.\u00a0 As long as the military and law enforcement is funded the rest can just wait.<\/p>\n

Well, that\u2019s about all I can think of.\u00a0 It was a short speech and I suppose time will tell if the Democrats will cave.\u00a0 Skeletor Pelosi and Crying Chuck, the ball is in your court.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
