It\u2019s a remarkable thing.\u00a0 The world is noticeably shifting into a new shape.\u00a0 Indisputably the middle ground is disappearing.\u00a0 People are being forced by their circumstances to pick one side or the other.\u00a0 The tactics are becoming uglier and more damaging.\u00a0 Everyone wants to know where this is going and what is the end point.<\/p>\n
I\u2019ll add another question.\u00a0 What will Donald Trump achieve?\u00a0 This I think is the lynchpin for the Right\u2019s desperate effort to stop the Progressives from repealing the Bill of Rights.\u00a0 Although many on the Right say that a revolt against the Left is inevitable I am skeptical.\u00a0 Even a gasoline soaked room needs a spark to explode and up till now the Left has kept the matches under lock and key.\u00a0 Donald Trump is the match.\u00a0 He has withstood all of their supposedly irresistible forces and is still standing.\u00a0 The questions that remains are what will he achieve and what will come after him?<\/p>\n
If he breaks the Left\u2019s stranglehold on the levers of power in the judiciary and executive branches and renders the gatekeepers in the Media and Social Media\u00a0 docile then he will have levelled the playing field sufficiently to allow the right to break free from the shackles we are currently in.\u00a0 And if he can select a successor who has even a tenth of his skills at sparring with the Left then we have a chance of keeping the momentum we have to finally get the upper hand against these terrible people.<\/p>\n
The Dissident Right (or whatever you call them) \u00a0says \u00a0it\u2019s a foregone conclusion that the process will continue irrespective of whether Trump succeeds or not.\u00a0 I wish I had their confidence (or seeming confidence).\u00a0 They say that the Left\u2019s unmasking will drive everyone in the middle either left or right.\u00a0 They say the normies will be red pilled and it will be game on.\u00a0 Until recently I was very skeptical of this.\u00a0 But two recent occurrences have given me reason to reconsider.<\/p>\n
The first is the definite shift to the right of a formerly mainstream journalist.\u00a0 Tucker Carlson was never on the Left.\u00a0 He has always been a conservative but of late he has sounded a lot like someone on the dissident side.\u00a0 Granted he isn\u2019t as extreme as self-described dissident writers out there but he is daring to say that the Democrats and Republicans are gaming the system against the middle class.\u00a0 He\u2019s skirting the edge of actual revolt.\u00a0 That is an exciting situation coming from someone in the mainstream.<\/p>\n
The second occurrence happened today.\u00a0 American Greatness is a very mainstream right outlet.\u00a0 There are some angrier voices there and some calmer but I wouldn\u2019t call any of them dissident right.\u00a0 Today I saw a post that quoted the Z-Man.\u00a0 The Z-Man is a very polished voice on the Dissident Right but no one would claim he is in the mainstream.\u00a0 He himself often talks about the river that separates the dissidents from the normies.\u00a0 I think he says it is narrow but it is deep and the only way to cross it is by consciously swimming.\u00a0 So, never the twain shall meet.\u00a0 When the mainstream begins quoting the Dissident Right there seems to be a step change happening.<\/p>\n
So all that said, I\u2019m waiting for one more step.\u00a0 I\u2019m waiting for the true moderates to cross the line.\u00a0 When the mainstream women start deserting the GOP establishment and get red-pilled I\u2019ll know it\u2019s done.\u00a0 I\u2019ll know we\u2019ve passed the point of no return.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
