This is a straight forward fantasy.\u00a0 A young man named Roger is hopelessly in love with a woman named Leila that has no interest in him at all.\u00a0 He calls her endlessly hoping she will just talk to him.\u00a0 A man waiting in line for the pay phone that Roger is hogging tells him that there is only one way to win the love of Leila.\u00a0 He gives Roger the business card of Professor A. Daemon (get it, a demon!).<\/p>\n
Roger goes to the professor\u2019s office and tells him he must have Leila\u2019s love.\u00a0 The professor tells him \u201cthat\u2019s easy and cheap.\u201d\u00a0 The love potion only costs a dollar.\u00a0 But the professor tells Roger that he\u2019d be back.<\/p>\n
Roger convinces Leilah to have a goodbye drink of champagne with him to get him out of her hair.\u00a0 Of course, it works and she falls in love with roger.<\/p>\n
When next we see Roger he has been married to Leilah for six months and she won\u2019t give him any peace.\u00a0 She sits at his feet and talks to him continuously.\u00a0 She can\u2019t keep her hands off him and dotes over his every move.\u00a0 Finally he goes back to the professor and asks him how he can tone down Leilah.\u00a0 The professor says nothing will change her and the only way he\u2019ll ever have peace is to kill her.\u00a0 And he has a potion that\u2019s painless, undetectable and will kill her immediately.\u00a0 He pays the thousand dollars and with great misgivings decides to murder his wife.\u00a0 He goes home and once again decides to use champagne as the disguise for the poison.\u00a0 And just as he\u2019s about to hand the drink to Leilah he sees the baby booty she has been knitting and immediately throws both glasses to the floor.\u00a0 He closes his eyes in resignation knowing now that he will spend the rest of his life with the maddening mother of his children.<\/p>\n
This is a silly, goofy story.\u00a0 But I enjoy a comical look at the war between men and women.\u00a0 There isn\u2019t a red-blooded husband out there who hasn\u2019t at one point or other in his marriage contemplated his wife\u2019s murder (or is it just me and Camera Girl?).\u00a0 Well anyway, it works for me.\u00a0 B+<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
