<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Steve, Fred and Scott are three young men in black leather jackets riding motorcycles looking extremely \u201ccool.\u201d\u00a0 They ride into town and go to a realtor\u2019s office.\u00a0 Then we see them move into a house.\u00a0 Next door is Stuart Tillman, his wife Martha and their teenage daughter Ellen.\u00a0 That night the Tillmans notice interference with their electrical devices.\u00a0 Stuart notices that the motorcycle guys next door have a complicated antenna on their roof and he goes to their house to find out if they are ham radio operators.\u00a0 When he arrives, the boys push him around and mock him.\u00a0 He threatens to go to the police but they use mental control to dissuade him.<\/p>\n
He returns home and tells Martha that they are good boys.\u00a0 Next we see the \u201cboys\u201d inside their house talking to a two-way television system.\u00a0 On the screen is the closeup of an eye.\u00a0 They\u2019re talking to their boss from another planet who has sent them to Earth to poison the water supply of their town with a lethal bacterium.\u00a0 Agents of this alien world are doing the same thing all across Earth.\u00a0 The bacteria will kill everyone all at once and very soon.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile Ellen misses her bus going to the library so Scott gives her a ride on his motorcycle.\u00a0 They fall in love and Scott warns Ellen that his friends are aliens that will destroy all human life.\u00a0 Ellen decides he\u2019s nuts and tells her parents.\u00a0 They call the sheriff.\u00a0 The sheriff is \u201cout of town\u201d but his \u201creplacement\u201d comes over to see about the trouble.\u00a0 The sheriff is one of the aliens and Scott recognizes him but the sheriff brought some helpers dressed as medical attendants and they tell the Tillmans that they will \u201ctake care of Scott.\u201d\u00a0 The End.<\/p>\n
What was that?\u00a0 No really, what the hell was that?<\/p>\n
This wasn\u2019t a Twilight Zone episode it was more like an Ed Wood production.\u00a0 The cheesy Marlon Brando \u201cWild One\u201d vibe.\u00a0 The \u201cDaddy-O\u201d and \u201cGonesville\u201d dialog.\u00a0 All it needed was Criswell to narrate instead of Serling.<\/p>\n
So why were the aliens, bikers?\u00a0 Did they get a discount on leather jackets?\u00a0 Couldn\u2019t they have been German Nuns who needed to build a \u201cshapel\u201d?\u00a0 Then at least Sidney Poitier could have helped them poison the water supply.<\/p>\n
The mind boggles.\u00a0 D-.<\/p>\n
