Donald Trump has reintroduced the modern world to Right Wing assertiveness.\u00a0 He has ignored as \u201cfake news\u201d all the brow-beating that has typically paralyzed Republican politicians and gone his own way on policy matters.\u00a0 He tears up old policy like NAFTA that doesn\u2019t suit him and blazes a negotiating trail that leaves his opponents in the dust.\u00a0 When President Trump called Boris Johnson, \u201cBritain Trump,\u201d he is hitting on something that has a basis in fact.\u00a0 It\u2019s not that the two men are highly similar in the details of their lives and philosophy.\u00a0 It\u2019s the fact that they are willing to throw the dice.\u00a0 It\u2019s their audacity.\u00a0 Both men have won big by not playing it safe.<\/p>\n

Now Boris Johnson is gambling on a grand scale.\u00a0 He\u2019s setting up a make or break scenario for himself, for his premiership, for the Tories, for the Brexit campaign and even for British independence, all on one throw of the dice.\u00a0 It\u2019s a two-stage strategy to preserve the Hard Brexit.<\/p>\n

The first stage is to cow the Remainers from voting against Hard Brexit by threatening to oust them from the party and deselect them from running as Tories in their re-elections.\u00a0 If this succeeds then Johnson\u2019s hand is strengthened in his negotiations with the EU but, all else failing, a Hard Brexit will occur on October 31st<\/sup>.<\/sub><\/strong>\u00a0 But if the Remainers refuse to follow his lead on Hard Brexit then stage two is calling for a General Election. \u00a0And the audacity of this move would be Homeric.\u00a0 Now Johnson is bringing into play Nigel Farage and the Brexit Party to essentially replace Remainers in both the Tory and Labour Parties in order to gain a majority in Parliament for the Brexit Movement.\u00a0 That is indeed a gutsy move.\u00a0 What if it fails.\u00a0 Johnson would be out as PM.\u00a0 The Tories would be a spent force.\u00a0 Brexit would be revoked and the EU and the Remainers would reign supreme.\u00a0 And even if the Brexit Party swings the majority to Pro-Brexit, who is to say that Nigel Farage will give Boris Johnson the premiership back?\u00a0 It\u2019s entirely possible that Farage could end up as Prime Minister.\u00a0 After all Theresa May called for a General Election in order to strengthen her hand when she was trying to negotiate the Brexit and all it did was lose her the Tory majority she already had.\u00a0 A General Election is the ultimate toss of the dice.<\/p>\n

So, does that mean I\u2019m saying that Boris Johnson is being rash in forcing the issue on Hard Brexit?\u00a0 Hell no!<\/p>\n

Boris has no choice.\u00a0 His adversaries have rigged the game.\u00a0 Much as in the United States both major parties are full of globalists who are more beholden to corporate and elitist interests than they are to the will of the people who elected them.\u00a0 His only choice is to threaten these frauds with the only punishment they truly fear, namely being cast out of their lucrative, powerful government jobs that provide them with such a comfortable and privileged lifestyle to which they have become so thoroughly accustomed.\u00a0 He is making them accountable to the people they allegedly represent.<\/p>\n

So, he has no choice but throw the dice.\u00a0 But that doesn\u2019t mean he should not be greatly praised for doing it.\u00a0 Think of the other allegedly conservative politicians who when confronted with choices like this surrender and follow the path the Left has goaded them toward.\u00a0 Theresa May is the latest example but the list is literally endless and is prominently sprinkled with George Bushes of various middle names.<\/p>\n

So, kudos to you Boris Johnson.\u00a0 I hope the Remainers cave and make your life easy.\u00a0 In fact, I actually hope you get the chance to negotiate a few of the terms of the Brexit with those geniuses in Brussels.\u00a0 It would do them some good to actually start learning again what it means to treat with equals instead of dictating to the proles.\u00a0 It might save them from the Grexit and the Itexit and even the Frexit.\u00a0 But then again maybe they should get everything they\u2019ve earned, with interest.<\/p>\n
